.43 ct diamond vs .25 ct diamond

Hi I haven't posted on here before but just have a question about diamond sizes. I found this oec diamond ring that is .43 ct online and am interested in buying it, it is a little over $600 dollars and supposed to be high quality. Is that a pretty good price for an oec? And also, I have a diamond that is .25 carats. Will the .43 look bigger or close to the same size. I know carats just mean the weight and not really how big it looks but since I already have a diamond solitaire I don't want to buy a ring that looks the same as what I have. Thanks!

Can you get the diameter measurements of the OEC? There is no telling how deep it is, so it would be hard for us to guess the diameter and answer your question about size. Whether it is a good price or not is also unknown without knowing color, clarity, and preferably a picture.

Hmm. That's not a lot to go on. I will say that OECs tend to face up smaller than MRBs because they are usually deeper. An average spread 0.25 ct MRB is probably ~4mm and a 0.43 would probably be between 4.5-5mm. The face up size for a 0.43 ct OEC would probably be closer to the 0.25, IMO.

I can't post a pic, but my 5 stone has 15 pointers and 32 pointers ( as close to helpful as I can be lol)

The larger one is notably larger far apart and next to each other.

This will tell you exactly what you want to know. Due to the generally deeper cut of OECs, the two are likely to face up the same size. Without pictures, I don't know whether the OEC is well cut or a dud, which could make it a good price or an expensive purchase.
