Here's a beauty! A bit over budget but with the DEF color range, you're bound to go over.
If you are willing to go to a G color - which is still white and beautiful - you can come in under budget with this one:

I know, I know... HCA is 3.1... But this may be one of those cases where the HCA isn't loving AGS?? Maybe another poster can weigh in on this? It looks absolutely GORGEOUS though!

If you can't work out something with Demelza's stone, look again at the 2.07 from GOG.

It looks good and I want to add it to my short list. The AGS report say it has idented natural. Is it chipped or cracked inside? Is it a pass or go?
eric9547|1379714137|3524424 said:It is a very nice looking stone but the only thing turning me away from James Allen is the upgrade policy of the diamond to be 2x greater than the purchase price which would mean I would need to spend at least 60k for an upgrade. Not good for me.

Yes, my guess is the HCA does not like the crown/pavilion combination. In real life, this stone may be a stunner with its high crown and longer lower girdle facets. It's worth getting an Idealscope, I think.
ETA: Best to ignore the ASET on the AGS reports; they are computer generated. An Idealscope of the actual diamond will tell you much more.

The HCA is a limited tool.
AGS has the strictest grading for light performance anywhere. The diamond is run through tests in person.
It trumps the HCA, which only calculates based on 4 factors.
As for the ASET ... that's not an idealscope of the actual stone, it's a computer model.
And honestly ASET is not the best tool for round brilliants. I would put it on hold and ask James Allen for an idealscope image.
And yes, I think the majority of women would rather have a 2.5 carat H then a 2 carat E. <-- I'm in the majority!!![]()
I'm not a that into diamond size myself, but in this case, I would definitely give this diamond a shot.
Also regarding what you said about florescence earlier. You really should reconsider that. Most truly educated diamond buyers love florescence in stones.
