3 Excellent GIA round - 1.32 H SI1 or 1.31 I VS1

Dear All:

I am very close in making my final decision. It is going to be set in a Halo ring with small F color diamonds on halo and band. Would you please comment which one should I choose? Thank you all for the opinions!

1. Color I, VS1, Table 56%, $8,000

Personally, I have a H and it looks white to me. The 59% table doesn't seem to have the traditional ideal characteristic, but is this one still look ok though???

Do people who are ok with H accept an I color stone? I know the inclusion on the I is right in the middle, but it is eye clean due to VS1. Should I go for it since the price is right?

It is a bit hard for me because I can't see them before purchasing. Thanks.

Hi Jenny,
Good luck with your purchase, for an ideal cut diamond, face-up, i hardly see the difference between a H and a J. So, H and I is not as important as the cut!

The JA stone (#2) scored very well on the HCA @ 1.2, so it is definitely worth looking into. We cannot see the actual diamond from BN, but the HCA was good as well @ 1.4. If they were both eye clean, I would get the H color. However, if there was a large discount on the I, then I'd get it. (personally, I'd want to see a stone I'm purchasing, but worst case scenario, you can send it back...)

Some people do not like 60/60 stones, but I have one and I happen to love them!
