I could have chewed you up and spit you out but I
chose to go lightly on you.

Corvette, Bing could eat you for breakfast.

Go home, find your inner being, and get yourself a better car. The one you have is not enough to take you where you need to go.

You stated women have been trained since birth to want a bigger better diamond than their peers. If you really believe that then I feel sorry for you. I think you know what I ment. Money obviously doesn't=class and that's all I have to say about that.

Richard sorry I'm not into loin cloths.
I may be shallow but that's just me. Take it or leave it!
I'm not going out of this world wearing a loin cloth and glasses. I'm going out with a big bang and a marching band.

I think I said that women are trained to want a bigger and better diamond since their teens. Why is that such a big pill for you to swallow. it's fact not fiction. Get with the program. Will you LadyJ?

2005corvette,

As stated there are several pictures of 3+ct diamonds in the show me the ring thread.

Out of curiosity what are the specs on the diamond after all you only want the best :}
d ,if, id,id,0 diameter and angle variation, perfect h&a ,hca score of 1, 3 vh++ b-scope ,9.8 isee2 and an eye-bleeding ideal-scope image right??
Any less wouldnt be ideal now would it?

I want to see a picture of this diamond :}

yea pretty basic I was expecting something special from someone with your refined tastes and money.
Hang around a while and then only the best cut diamonds will appeal to you and you will have an excuse to buy another one.

What seems to be wrong with the stone I just described to you? Of course you have something better right?

I tried to keep away, but 2005, you're way too much fun! I wish there was a ref to keep score!

Strmrdr:

I can't believe he bought a "basic" stone! I mean, the guy's has a 46ft cigarette boat. 46ft! Why settle for a "run-of-the-mill" 3ct diamond?

I must leave all you wonderful people now. It has been quite an enjoyable experience this evening but all good things must come to an end. I have gotten to the point of complete and total boredom.I'm going to watch the end of the Sopranos on my just purchased and installed today $20k 83" Mitsubishi HDTV.
Goodnight to all....God Bless

Bing..The offer still stands. Come to Boston and I'll take care of you on my Cigarette boat. If you like to gamble I'll show you the best time of your life in the high rollers pit at the Mohegan Sun casino in CT. All on me of course...

You really are a good sport. There are many other forums where it could have resorted to lesser forms of debate. BTW, nice tv.

Oh well, corvette, thanks for demonstrating to me that I did well choosing an avatar with no connotation of bragging rights.

Congratulations for all your accomplishments

Bing you are a hell of a guy, and a great sport. Yes Foxwoods would be closer but I have the best luck a Mohegan Sun. Foxwoods is yesterdays news. Mohegan is where it's happening. The BJ tables and craps are a sheer thing of beauty. They are just ripe for the plucking. Believe me when I tell you. It's like taking candy from a baby
there.

Sooo....it's been 20 minutes after 2005 posted that he was going to watch the Sopranos and yet he's still showing as online. Am I missing something?! Does it take 20 minutes to log off?

I've been bamboozled!!

Oh! I would love a 3c ring...but D VVS2? Nah...only D IF for me! AGS000...the real thing baby. Oh and from Tiffany's. EX/EX 60/60.

2005...the Sopranos deserves WAY MORE from you than half-attention for the season premiere! Shame..turn off the computer now and give it your undivided. Assuming you have TiVo....the only way to watch when you've got the 80 incher!

Mara. I already saw the first episode last night, but I did copy it for future reference. Sopranos gets my undivided attention believe me.

Steve, what happened with your diamond? Did the stone you have posted about turn out the be 'the one'?

Mara. I know I've read at least a couple of threads where you have said numerous times that you would not buy a diamond from Tiffanys. Am I correct? Try finding an AGS000
at Tiffanys. Believe me they don't have them and can't get them. At least In Boston. I've already tried.

AGS000... it could be just another 'name' for a range of parameters (cut proportions, D, IF) that Tiffany does carry, They are not using AGS certs though.. as far as I know.

Yes..you caught me...it was a joke. Hence the
11.gif

I would never buy an e-ring from Tiffanys though I do buy other jewelry there.

I would never buy a D IF unless I had money to wipe my behind with as well.

I would also never buy a 60/60 stone.
1.gif

Tiffany does not cert their stones with AGS...they use GIA. Probably because their 'cut parameters' would not get AGS0 and then how do you justify the 40% markup if it's AGS2?

3c I would be gaga over, if the cut is excellent.

D VVS2? Not so impressed. Got some angles to tell me about?

I assume you keep your boat moored, wouldn't want to trailer that around. Where do you keep it moored? Maybe I'll get a view of it over the summer.

Wow, Mr. Vette! you're even more insecure than I had originally imagined!.

Firstly, Mitsubishi doesn't make an 83" HDTV, they make an 82" one. I'd assume that someone of your, shall we say, small stature would pay close attention to inches.

Secondly, you may have money but you surely have no brains. For HALF the cost of that behemoth tv (515 lbs) you could have gotten a full Front Projection system which would give you better quality and over TWICE the screen size!!! What a twit.

And please, don't get me started on the whole Corvette as the best sports car in the World thing...I'm still hurting over laughing too hard at that one.

It takes a big man to anonymously brag about such a ridiculously trivial subject... I hope you've gotten your self-administered ego shot today.

Yep I have something better :}
One of those mythical woman who does not need ,nor want, nore desire a 3ct diamond and would have said yes even if Id proposed with ring from a cracker jack box :}

I'm just a lurker....but this DOES have F&I written all over it. Sorry if I offend, but these hilarious 'size = who I am' threads make me giddy with anticipation of a F&I rebuttal. 'What do you mean I am a 'hootchie' for wearing a 3 carat ring??' 'Why should I feel ashamed to wear a 3 carat when I have no appointments today to praise me for such??' 'I'm not an opportunist waiting for the next response to a 'dead horse' thread on size vs. tackiness.'

Then I would suggest you stay lurking. I wrote quite a long rebuttal about my volunteer & charity work but didn't see fit to print for you. So, don't put value judgements on me *little boy*. Also, please do not suggest that I may be corvette. Leonid can gladly attest that I am one person - Fire&Ice. And, you know what - bud - 3 carats isn't a big diamond. "Big" (your perception - not mine) diamonds are a tiny facet of my life. You clearly do not have enough life experience to know that owning a large diamond translate into nothing higher than a love of sparkle.

Geez - this is absolutely ridiculous. And, I would suggest, as Mara noted, the original poster try on a 3 c diamond. Keep in mind that the setting profile has *alot* to do with the prescense & perception of the stone. Also, if you are looking at loose stones, the stone size will appear much smaller than once the stone is set.

I also find it a riot that all these people would turn down a large diamond. Quite frankly, as long as someone put some heart into a gift, I wouldn't turn down any gift. To me, that's the epitomy of tacky & *really* ungrateful.

While we are on the subject of tacky, saying something to someone that you know will offend *yet* you choose to do so anyway is well, tacky.

Hey RiverOaks, did you check out the rings at the Shw me the Ring Forum? Leota has about a 3ct if not a bit bigger...can't remember. What size is your lady's finger? What is her height, stature, and general jewlery tastes? How old is she, where does she work? What do most of your friends have in regards to diamond size? I only ask because just because you can afford a 3ct, doesn't always mean it's necessary...A nice 2ct and some earrings for an anniversary or birthday are nice, if she has small fingers...Just a thought...

And sorry to hijack your thread River, but I couldn't resist!!!

To Mr. 2005Corvette, if you DO want the FINER things, what's with the Corvette? Why not a Ferrari Enzo, a Diablo? A McLaren F1? I would buy a VIPER well before a corvette...

Here's an Enzo for sale: http://www.ferrari-forsale.com/Enzo

Maybe you can pawn the 3ct you bought for it, sell the TV, sell you Vette, sell whatever you live in, and then get it. But I suppose, you will sell everything and never really quite "get it." will you? Some how I see you wearing a loin cloth in the future, when your money runs out!
