I''m so sorry to hear about the home invasion. I, too, also experienced a home invasion several years back.
Although I had my wedding ring on, I had lost other jewelry pieces and haven''t had a chance to replace them.
I''m just thankful that everyone was safe and no one got hurt -- that is all that matters.
It is such a terrible feeling; you feel so violated and you wonder if this was a random or targeted act.
Our house is located on busy street and we assumed that our neighorhood was safe.
After the incident, we quickly installed an alarm. For us, it simply makes us feel a little safer when we are sleeping at night and when we are away from home. It won''t stop it from ever happening again but it will defintely scare the robbers away faster than if we didn''t have one.
