The annual NYC Antique Jewelry and Watch Show began today and runs through Sunday! This year I decided to get there early and actually buy something! If you go, make sure to stop by Roy Rover; they are super nice and apparently they were robbed during setup on Wednesday. Terrible.
$12,000 Georgian paste necklace

Antique tourbillon ring and Georgian setting from Jack Weir. They had a lot of cool antique settings - maybe next year!

Ridiculously gorgeous sapphire & diamond by the yard necklace

Hilarious antique NSFW box, shield your eyes

There was one stand that actually had some sterling mezuzahs! Unfortunately this one was too small for the scrolls we have, but I thought it was nice

They were kind enough to let me try on this $250k Lalique ring, even though I told them I wasn't going to buy it. I doubt I will ever see another of these original Lalique enamel pieces again - I actually remember seeing it up for auction a couple years ago. Apologies for my terrible photography here; this ring is incredible.

And the grand finale: my purchase! This Georgian ring stood out to me as quite unusual in its asymmetry and two-tone design. I wonder if the whole ring was originally gold tone? Is it a fancy color center or just dirty - I really should have asked! The shank looks modern to me but I don't have anything at else in this style and I think I got a good price, so I am happy! If anyone has any guesses on more info, I'd be glad to hear.

I tried to photo some things people might not typically notice, but I hope others will follow up with their shots of more of the big OMC pieces etc that we all love. Maybe I'll see some of you on Sunday!
