2.29 Emerald Cut - Help Me Evaluate!

I'm considering this emerald cut from Whiteflash..... can the experts weigh in with their thoughts? I see a lot of EC's where the steps seem uneven, or that there are black bars that form a square in the center and I am always more of fan of ones where they seem more even, less contrast. This one seems to have that dark rectangle, but I'm not sure how this one would look in real life? The rep I'm dealing with says this is a very good stone. Should I ask for images of the stone in daylight/normal lighting?

Also, I'm planning on this being set as a solitaire with an existing 10pointer eternity. The stones in the eternity are FG, do you think that this colour difference will be noticeable?

The ASET looks nice, like a bright stone. Especially at the edges. That one green step in the center should flash on and off... and the very center is red. All good.

I don't know what the color of the stone is, I don't think you list it. So I don't know how the color contrast will be with your eternity. But in general round melee looks very white in some light in contrast to step cuts, even those of the same color, because of light performance differences. I have an F asscher and E-F melee and my melee can out white my center in some light.

Still, what is the color grade on the stone?

J will show body color in an EC. There will be contrast with your eternity. Whether it bothers you or not is up to you. I can't comment on that.

That one green step in the center should flash on and off... and the very center is red. I think it's fine. Get it before you set it and see how you like it if you are concerned. They have a great return policy.

Looks good to me! I have a K EC in a semi-bezel solitaire which I wear next to my G color EC band. I rarely notice the color difference, just occasionally in my car. Since I got my K last July there have been several stunning K ec's posted on here. If you do a search K EC the threads should come up. That way you can see how the stones look against diamond melee or bands.

MayK has a beautiful ring, as does Asscher Girl.

The black you are saying you don't like is camera reflection Like black arrows in a round brilliant. A real diamond won't look like that in person!
