2.1 carat Hearts & Arrows or 2.5 carat GIA Excellent?

Hi,

I am new to the forum and have joined to gain some knowledge. I am about to make a very large purchase and this seems to be the place to go to talk to people with experience. I am looking at Brian Gavin and am trying to decide between Hearts and Arrows or just GIA excellent. I plan on spending my set budget so basically it comes down to if I want to sacrifice a little size for the hearts and arrows. Will anyone really notice or do you think she would rather go from 2.1 to 2.5?

2.1 Hearts and Arrows I Si1

OR

2.5 GIA Excellent I VS2

It really depends on more factors than cut grade, color, and clarity... Do you have more specs?

Well, there are plenty of 2.5 carat GIA excellents in my price range so I dont have a specific stone.
