OMG fortekitty, it is just beautiful and I think you got a great price on it! I think it would look amazing with French cuts- there's something about their faceting that plays well with the chunky OEC facets.

FK-what a stunning stone! It looks gorgeous and huge on you, and I really like the look of the current setting on your hand. (will make for a cool colored stone ring)

Thin horizontal or smaller tapered/non tapered FCs would be beautiful on you.

Thanks!!! I still haven't gotten around to getting it reset... been buying too much jewelry lately so I need to take a breather. Just remembered i still need to post pics of my new loose OEC and 1ct oval diamond w/ halfmoon sides!

pokerface- they weren't from the same seller. the garnet was from another seller who was clearing out her jewelry box.

Funny, the transitional faceting pattern and the 8 prong metal bezel totally reminds me of Dreamer's new ring as well!

Your tiny fingers make that rock look ginormous.
