Last year, I upgraded my princess cut ACA with Whiteflash. I struggled for a while on which stone I should upgrade to because I have very limited budget. I got a lot of helpful and insightful suggestions from the forum. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me to pick out this stone. There are the original threads in case anyone wants to know more details about the 1.3 K stone.
Then I sent my princess cut ACA to Whiteflash -- from Hongkong btw, upgrade for China Mainland customer isn't easy. During the inspection process, Whiteflash identified a chip -- a bolt from the blue! The first thing I did after I learnt this, is post on PS for help. And I got a lot of them, isn't this community wonderful?
It took a while for me to get peace with this harsh reality, but looking back now, Whiteflash has been really classy helping me get through this. They did everything they can to fix the diamond while minimizing my lost. In the end, I paid a bit over 2000usd for the upgrade, and I'm totally happy with the outcome. I would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to Bryan, Brittany, they anonymous mighty cutter and everyone else in the Whiteflash team.
Back to the new stone, I fell in love with it on first sight. Is K color warm? Yes! Is K color yellow? Yes! Can K color be beautiful? Yes yes yes, Especially with the superb cutting quality of ACA, my K color diamond is a disco light ball in most light conditions. I can see the yellow tint every now and then (you probably can see it from the first picture), but it doesn't bother me at all. The yellow gold prong also provide enough contrast so that the stone still looks very white comparing to the setting.
This is the end of the story, and I'm kind of hoping this could help people who is seeking for lower color diamond in yellow gold setting. Thanks for looking
