Hi everyone,
I have a diamond on hold that I would love to get some educated opinions about and this certainly looks like the place to get that!
I’ve been looking for a nice diamond for my partner for the last few months and have been trying to absorb as much as I can from PS and other sites. I ordered a diamond through an Australian jeweller and after a “long” two week wait for it to arrive in Oz (I know, not that long
) the diamond has arrived at my Australian jeweller for analysis .
They have provided a video, magnified image, Ideal Scope image, Proportion analysis / Firetrace report for the diamond at this link:

Specifically, I’m wondering if I should have any reservations regarding the cloud?
The diamond will be placed in a Halo setting (handmade). I’m tossing up between white gold or Platinum but probably leaning towards Platinum.
The style will be similar to this without the split in the band:

Other things that may be of relevance:
1. Carat: My partner has tried a 0.7 in a Halo setting before and felt it was about the right “size” for her.
2. Clarity – I don’t really mind as long as it’s eye clean. I chose VS2 for this diamond as I was choosing blind so felt it would be a good bet.
3. Colour – Down to G would have been fine I think for that carat weight.
4. Cut – obviously as good as possible (HCA = 1.3 from memory – based on GIA cert stats)
