Sparrow, Wren, and Chickadee are growing very, very quickly! We've never had a litter this small in numbers or this GINORMOUS in size! Sparrow especially, bless his cotton socks, in nearly as wide as he is long. They are overflowing handfuls of wiggly, warm, kitten fluffballs.
Both Sparrow and Wren have opened their eyes, which is normal around 10ish days. Chickadee is the smallest and slowest, so her eyes are still closed. All are crawling around freely. I heard one of them SCREAMING from the laundry earlier today so raced in, only to find one of the kittens in the middle of the floor, lost and unable to get back to the nest area. I don't know why Turtledove didn't call to him to let him know where to go, or even go get him herself - she just looked up at me when I brought him back. I think she was testing me. Needless to say, I passed...though I'd appreciate no more tests in the future, my heart was racing at those kitten shrieks!
