@bling_dream19 , another gorgeous ring! Beautiful citrine. Now bear with me, I am getting older. When did citrine become a November alternative? When I was growing up, it was topaz. Is citrine more available/more or less valuable/more or less durable? Why citrine over topaz?

Yummy @elle_71125, what’s your expected size, shape?

It’s going to be between 1-2 carats. I asked him to cut whatever he thinks is best so I don’t know what the shape will be. I did mention that I’d like to avoid trillion cut and oval cut (since I already have a couple oval mahenges). I guess I’ll be as surprised as everyone else, once it’s complete.

I’m also awaiting a special package from DK, low color OEC dangle earrings. I’ve had them in the works for a bit now, started them before Corona Virus.

Our wedding anniversary is in November. I see Citrine everywhere listed as Nov. Birthstone. I also see topaz listed, as well.
My son is a Dec. baby. He has 3 stones to choose from, now: Blue Topaz, Blue Tanzanite, and Torquiose.
January babies are still stuck with Garnet.
I have a Citrine ring, and an uncut chunk of Citrine pendant that I wear to commemorate our wedding day. I love the color..... ♥️

Attended my first ever gem show this weekend. SO many beautiful things! Was supposed to be browsing only... but I came across a vendor with old cut diamond pieces.....
I walked away with an antique Art Deco piece, .60 Old Mine diamond in original setting. Only have a quick snap for now ; ) IMG_20190929_141354179~2.jpg

Here is my latest impulse item :)

The ring is vintage platinum die cast with a transitional 1.10 center with diamond & sapphire accents. Center stone is VS and color is likely in the M/N/P range. Filigree is in amazing shape and it even has little single cut 5 pointers on the gallery.

As a November baby, Imperial Topaz can be pretty. My husband is a January baby and I adore Rhodolite garnets and Dermatoid garnets.

I think he has the option of blue zircon as well!

No! Don't change it! I absolutely love it! Good to have options with a mix of yellow and white gold jewelry in your wardrobe.

This 18-karat yellow gold lovely became mine yesterday -- .75 carat unheated sapphire surrounded by eight old mine cut diamonds. It's approximately 120 years old, and it just glows. I can't stop staring at it. Also, it's not easy to take a good photo of your own hand.

Ok, I am weak!( but I kept going back to see if it was still available, always a sign that I really, really like something...)
A plat deco era band that even comes with its original celluloid ring box! She's on her way from Australia, and currently has been in Sydney "preparing for international departure" since Tuesday!

I bought a little oval solitaire a couple of weeks ago when wine and stir crazy combined. My husband and I were talking about purchasing an inexpensive diamond now with the goal to upgrade it later this year. It arrived today, and I am having mixed feelings, but it’s growing on me.

I think it's really lovely. It reminds me of my first diamond engagement ring, a .66ct oval diamond, which I really enjoyed and wish I hadn't sold.
