Women, do you agree with the message in the video?
Or, do you disagree, and feel you DO have to try hard to look XYZ so you can ... get ahead in a career, social life, maintaining self esteem, finding and keeping an SO?
So much love for Colbie--beautiful voice, beautiful music, beautiful persona. When my daughter starts asking about makeup someday, I will definitely show her this. Thanks for sharing, Kenny.
I have noticed throughout my life that when I try hard, people give me so much positive feedback. That sort of instilled in me that I NEEDED to try. I'm ok with that, but. I'm also just fine with not trying and just being my un-madeup, undone self with friends and family. Because really? Who I am is not defined by anything I use to mask my own perceived flaws. No one else cares. Why should I?
I am really loving some of these Hangout threads these days. Makes me happy to still be a PS member.
I think I don't feel that big of a need to keep a certain look for my friends or SO or my self-esteem, but I do feel a need to do that for work. Not that I need to be X pounds, or only wear X clothes, etc. but that overall that I have to be put together and aware of how I look.
