I want one day back with my sweet darling girl Francesca.
I mean I want a lifetime back with her but I would take anything I can get.
I miss her so so much.

I often imagine them going out walking and playing together, and look down smiling to keep an eye on me and the pets from time to time - it comforts me.

Reuniting with a deceased loved one (whether human or pet) has a bit of a The Monkey's Paw vibe and I must still have a little PTSD from seeing the play as a kid.

This, all the way through. My mom was gone way too early. It wasn't fair to her, and it wasn't fair to all the people who loved her and who should've had decades more with her. What I wouldn't give to have one more day with her, to tell her about all the things that happened that she did not live to see. I think many of us, if provided with the possibility to make the impossible possible, would spend the day with lost loved ones.

If I limit my thoughts only to what's possible, I actually start getting ideas... If you'd asked me this question a year ago, I'd say I'd want to see the northern lights. Now that I have, I think I would want to go skydiving. Or visit a tropical destination by the ocean, some islands maybe, and swim in a coral reef.

Actually, not to be a killjoy or anything but there is a medical condition where some people have orgasms all day long. It is unpleasant for them. Think about it. All day long. Every 30 seconds. It's not as good as you might think...

Some people don't get it. But we do. They were a part of our family. A part of our hearts. The pain is still so powerful. My heart still hurts missing my sweet baby. I am sorry you too are experiencing that. I comfort myself with the quote
"with great love comes deep grief" but still. What I wouldn't give to have a day back with my sweet Francesca.

Gone way too soon. I am so sorry Sharon. The randomness and unfairness of this world is overwhelming at times. I know life is not fair but one wishes it to be so. Our parents should be here with us for as long as possible.

I am so sorry Wink. Alzheimer's is a devastating disease. It robs us and our loved ones of so much.
My husband lost his dad at a relatively young age to Alzheimer's. It's a cruel disease

Yes, agree with imagining them still with us somehow to be comforting. I mean I honestly do not believe in that but I so wish it were true. I wish there was an afterlife or somehow we are reincarnated and that no one ever dies. But in my heart of hearts I know this is all we get. This time on earth. And that life is not fair in any way. That people die way too soon and some in too much pain. I so wish life was different. I wish we all got to be with our loved ones forever and ever and at least that no one would die at a young age.
