Yeii moment! our little cushion

I''ve visited this site for a long time getting ideas for what i wanted in an engagement ring . Thank you Psers for unsuspectingly being my guide in this journey : ) .It''s been a loooooooong road to even decide to buy a diamond but it only took us 3 weeks to find it once we made the decision! Kudos to Adam from Old World Diamonds for helping us along.

I''m not really a specs girl , more interested in what it looks like so all i know is that its a:

Thanks lauren, skippy and Mischa! i cant wait to have it set! judged by the measurements do u think it faces up up big or "alright" for a 1.30 cushion? I learned after seeing many that they tend to face up small.

Oh, totally ditto on that!!!! It''s delicious!!! I love that effect where the culet is refelcted everywhere, what''s that called????Kuzi-whatsie..something something? teehee

Those chunky facets are just beautiful! Not a "little" stone for sure... I''m biased as I have a 1.3 RB.

Your stone faces up just a teeny bit smaller than a regular RB (mine is 7.06 - 7.12) as it''s an old cut. It still looks big and substantial by me.

Leon did an amazing job for my ring. The whole process was pretty simple and easy but probably because I picked a simpler standard setting from his website and give him some general guideline and voila, he did his thing without a hitch!

With a center stone like this and Leon''s setting, it''s going to be a a BEAUTIFUL ring! Congratulations!!

thanks! it really was go chunky or go home for us lol- We looked at all shapes and modern cuts and nothing resonated. Once i saw the chunks and the subdued but colorful splash of the old cuts i was sold! We are never upgrading or changing the setting if we go custom so this will be sitting in my wrinkly old hand when I''m 90 : ) . We are very sentimental that way. We''ve been together for 11 years since we were 16 and his wedding band is actually the promise ring i gave him when were like 20. I plan to replicate his wedding band for my wedding band after my wedding ring is done.

Thanks everyone for all the support, i feel so good about our stone after this ; ). I promise to com back with handshots. My Leon is going to be a solitaire with a really cool unique twist on the basket and the prongs, i cant wait to commission it. Appt will be in two weeks!
