XXX I Colour?

Hi Guys..

I hope you can help. I''ve bought a RB, VS2, I clarity stone. The seller mentioned that the colour is really good and in fact it''s an XXX I. What does it refer to please? I''ve had a good hunt around for information and all appears to point to the GIA Cut? This makes more sense but 100% the vendor referred to the XXX in relation to the Colour???

Well VS2 would be the clarity there so the color is probably an I. But I have no idea what they mean by XXXI. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand and they said it was an Ex/Ex/Ex for excellent cut, symmetry, and polish? That would make more sense...

Agree, your thoughts make more sense, but defo mentioned the XXX in relation to the colour. Hence my confusion. Didn''t think to get it clarified at the time.

Hmmm what vendor is this? I would ask them, I have never heard anything related to X's with color...but my explanation makes sense. And I was referring to a different stone obviously, mixed up the posts! This one looks great for cut.

I am sure he meant GIA triple excellent: cut, polish, and symmetry. Sounds like you got a very nice stone!

Only explanation is that I mis-heard as nothing points to my version of the story!!! I''ll have to just admit I was (probably) wrong.

Just to make sure, the crown angle is a typo error right?
