Would you pick these as side diamonds?

Hey all. I''ve been shopping for some affordable side diamonds to make a 3 stone ring out of my pear solitaire. I have a possible contender (based on size, price, and such). These are two GIA certed rounds. Would you be gun shy of either stone? I''ve read some comments on this forum about the risk of SI quality stones, but I''m thinking that these should be small enough where the inclusions would be small. The symmetry between the two is incredible, and I''ve found other GIA certed pairs in VS quaility, but the characteristics list multiples for the stones (i.e., one VS2 stone had a crystal, a feather AND a cloud). I think I''d rather have an SI stone with one character rather than a VS with two or three, but tell me what you think. Both stones for about $1100-$1200. Thanks!

An SI1 with only one clarity maker will probably have a much bigger inclusion than 3 clarity characteristics in a VS2.

Anyway, the ones you picked are /awfully/ expensive...and the cut isn't so great.

Thanks Julie. You reminded me that I should check the spread of these stones again... the ones from WF have better math than the ones I asked about.

I am confused about the price you indicated, since each stone was $615 when I looked this evening. Do you have a coupon that I should know about?

That is the price for people who find the stones on PS and pay by wire.

Thanks for the tip, Julie. I know that paying by wire always gets the buyer a discount, but how do they know you''re shopping through pricescope? Is this something that only WF discounts for, or do all our PS vendors do this? The prices I posted for the stones that originated this thread are through a PS vendor... should I ask for a PS discount?

Here''s another set I found with the same PS vendor (James Allen). Duh -- I finally figured out how to use their table/depth search option. These are certainly better cut than the ones I originally found, and still in that J color (my pear that I''m going to set with whatever new stones I pick is a K, so I can save a little $$$ by looking at I-J rather than F-G-H)
