Would you consider going to an I1 clarity grade for H&A studs?...

Some I1''s are lovely. Some VS2''s have way too many inclusions. I just bought a lovely rb I1 from Jon. If GOG has it, it''s probably a great I1.
HI:

Two PS vendors helped supply the I1 stones for my earrings--one was from GOG (the other from Wink Jones). And yes, it is a very nice I1.

cheers--Sharon

That's great to know, Sonomacounty - do you have any photos of it by chance>

Actually it's still at GOG. I'm waiting for my semi-custom Knox setting (in palladium!) to come in. The digital camera I have does not have the features I need to get good ring photos at all, though. But, thanks for asking.

GOG and Jon are just top notch. Absolutely.

How are you getting them set? I love martinis. They sit close to your ear and don't droop as much. Then I add a plastic circle and a megaback and they don't fall at all.

Happy Earrings to you ! !

Thanks for that Sonomacounty - you must be very excited to get your ring!!

I am definitely going with the 3 prong martini. If I were getting them from WF I would consider the 8 prong martini, but these are actually already set in wg martini settings.

I cannot WAIT to see pics of these beauties! If GOG says they''re winners, then they are WINNERS!

Thanks again everyone for your awesome feedback - I''ll keep you posted!

As it turns out, my new 1.16 cttw studs are G color I1, and I think they look amazing. I can only see the inclusions through the idealscope - they are small white feathers, and can''t be seen at all without magnification, at least not to me. I think that I had written on my thread that they were SI2 - I had them confused with another pair I looked at when I was at the jeweler, but once I checked the cert, I noticed they were I1, and I am not disappointed with them at all - I totally love them!

Here are the pics in this link: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/2-ct-rb-back-in-old-setting-and-new-ear-studs.75466/

Vespergirl -

Thanks so much for posting that link and your experience - your studs look beautiful! It really helps to see photos of I1''s. Being as I haven''t ever seen an I1 in person I''m not sure what I expected they would look like, but I realize now that it''s likely close to my first experience seeing a great S2 - my reaction was, "so what, it''s beautiful!"!

Thanks again.
