Would you buy this diamond without seeing the picture?

Hello Everyone

So i have put a diamond on hold with BGD that will (if i buy) become one half of my studs.

Now the thing is, there are no pictures of the stone. Other information is available, such as aset and hearts images and certificate information but no actual picture.

I have been told that it faces up white and is eye clean. (stone is 0.615, I colour, SI1)

Unfortunately the photographer is not in until Monday when my hold period is aleady over.

SO... Would you buy a BGD H&A if you couldn't see the pic and that was the only info that was available to you?

I would have posted the link to the diamond but it has already been pulled and i can't get the report up on the report check site for some reason.

Thanks Kenny, that's what i was thinking, their stones do seem to have a very high reputation.

Also i have been thinking that maybe i need to be prepared to buy sight unseen in order to get what i want. (SI1 stones of that size in my price range only come up now and then to begin with). I have missed out on stones i have wanted before because someone has beaten me to it buy a few hours.

Ditto. But heads up that it's a Jewish Holiday, so perhaps getting an extension on the hold is in order??

Thats a good idea thanks, I have just been dealing with a sales assistant.

I am in Australia though so the 11 hour time difference makes it hard to tee up, but i will look in to it.

Kaleigh, thank you for the info on the Jewish holiday. I think i will ask Denise if i can keep it on hold till i get to see the photos or get the opportunity to talk to Brian about the stone if that isn't possible.

I would buy a signature stone sight unseen. My only concern would be visible inclusions, and photos don't help with that anyways.

I would buy a stone without photos from Brian if they had what I was looking for. Wouldn't think twice about it. I've bought several stones from BGD and am very comfortable with their inventory, especially for studs.
