I got an email back from Signed Pieces saying that they are phasing out gold but would make this band : http://www.signedpieces.com/item.cfm?item_id=688&show_metal=18K%20White%20Gold in white gold for me if I order it soon. But

So.....since I value everyone''s opinions here on PS

I have a few questions before I place the order.

#1 The diamonds on this band are E-F color diamonds, my ering is a G. Do you think this would be a problem?

#2 My ering is 2.1 mm wide and the band is 3.1 mm wide. Do you think they would look funny together?

#3 Do you think the band is "too much" since I have a simple solitaire? link to my ering here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/sharing-my-new-engagement-ring.75343/

#4 Should I go with this instead? http://www.signedpieces.com/item.cfm?item_id=2624

Thank you so much!!

The configuration of the prongs under your emerald cut diamond may hit on the top of either wedding you propose to purchase. They may damage the other ring, the stones, or the wedding ring may wear out the underside of your solitaire ring. You have to try it on to know how it will all fit together. I''d suggest soldering the two rings at their base so they don''t rub eachother more than necessary.

Hi
It is all very personal, but for me the half band is perfect. You can wear it all day, without worrying so much about wear and tear on the bottom of the ring. the other advantage is resizing, with a half band there shouldnt be too many issues.

good luck

Thank you very much oldminer and D2B!

You both have excellent points. I didn''t even think about the possiblity of the band rubbing against my ring or the sizing issue...
I really love the band and I haven''t had much luck finding it elsewhere. I''m not sure what to do...I feel like time is running out since SP is phasing out gold.
~Sigh~ Life was sooo much easier before I found PS....

Besides, the rubbing issues...

No, I don''t think the slight color difference would matter at all. I don''t think you would notice it. I also don''t think the different widths would be a problem, but you really need to try things on to see how they look. I personally like the all diamond band better, but this is preference. Get what you like!

You definitely should worry about the rubbing issues however. You might want to consider soldering like suggested, getting a rounded band custom made, or wearing your band on the opposite hand.

Thank you kcoursolle!

love your ring btw!

I really like the look of sapphires and diamonds so I am leaning towards the eternity band even though I would rather have a half eternity due to my clumsy nature.
However I have not been able to find any asscher cut sapphire and diamond half eternity bands that are with in my budget

Thanks again!

It sounds to me like you''ve got your heart set on this sapphire and diamond eternity band.

And for good reason, it''s beautiful. I have a signed pieces eternity band and I love it. I don''t worry about the underside of the band---well, that is, whatever side ends up on the bottom that day.

They are very VERY well made. Sizing is a possible issue. I''ve heard you can have eternity bands made a tad larger if need be though. I have had moments of "why did I go with a full eternity band, I mean really, was that necessary????" but to be honest, it''s such a fun splurge to have the diamonds all the way around. I had a 7 stone band with my original wedding set----on my size 4.75 it covered the entire top of my finger. That is, when I could keep it in place. I was CONSTANTLY adjusting it and finally soldered them together because I hated the spinning. But this time I didn''t want to solder the rings in case I want to just wear the eternity band.........so.........all these are probably things you''ve thought about but I thought I''d share my experience.

Oh, and as for clumsy.............my husband affectionately refers to me as "a bull in a china cabinet". I''m by NO means EASY on my rings, I''m too spastic and high strung to be, and I''ve had no problems with the eternity band. I will say, my new ering is set much lower that the first ring was and that took care of my problem. No more WACKING the ering into things.

LOL - I think that''s really cute!

Jenn5504 Thank you very much for sharing your experience!

I''m really glad to know that the rings are well made. I think the spinning would drive me crazy too so that is something to think about as well. As far as soldering the rings together, maybe I can get a spacer to wear between the 2 rings instead...I went and looked at your rings and they are very beautiful! Thanks again!!

#4-Maybe--I am going to go with a 1/2 eternity band myself because I just don''t care about having stones on the palm of my hand.

I LOVE the sapphires!

The other PS''ers made a good point about the band rubbing against your solitaire. Does your emerald cut diamond sit a little above the finger? Maybe you can measure how much space you have in millimeters and let signed pieces know before making the ring.

I think that the sapphire and diamond band would be beautiful with your ering, but I agree that I would worry about rubbing. It is definitely a beautiful ring, though!
