Would a princess look good in this setting?

Thank you for your input. We are most likely getting a round stone but I have a special place in my heart for princess ...afterall I am a princess or at least I like to believe I am LOL

I think it would look just fine in a setting like that! I don''t mind mixing cuts. I think it adds interest to the details!

I think it would look great! With a setting like that you can put pretty much any shape in it.

Thank you! I wasn''t sure. This is a setting my FF picked out at Jared''s and while I don''t want to buy anything from there, I absolutely loved it. The photo doesn''t do it justice. When we tried it on, I asked about a princess diamond but she wouldn''t even show us what it looked like (another reason why I wouldnt shop there). Thanks again!

I think it would look lovely!

That setting paired with a princess would make a gorgeous ring!

I think it would look beautiful

I think it would look fantastic...really make that princess pop. Go for it!

Thank you guys! That gives us sooo many more options to be able to also look at a princess (not to mention bigger bang for our buck!! LOL)

Hi there!

You and your guy have great taste!!!!

That princess will look brilliant in that setting. I think you''ll love the look of the mixed shapes, too.

I have a princess cut center, with channel-set tapered baguettes on either side, and i tried on an eternity band that looks like the shank of your engagement ring: channel set round diamonds.

I fell in love with the way it looked so much, that the fiance and I decided to get two small channel-set round brilliant eternity bands (one for either side of the engagement ring) instead of one band with larger princess-cut stones (which was the original plan).

I don''t know your tastes well enough, but another interesting option would be to set the princess "points out" or "star set."

If you do like that idea, though, definitely surf over to Rocky Talky and ask some folks what they think of the durability of the corners on star-set (points out) princess settings, because I don''t know enough, personally. My stone is set in regular v-tip prongs.

But, yeah, I really, really, really love the look of the princess center flanked by channel-set rounds. Wait till you see it in person. It''s a look that truly has to be seen in person if you want to appreciate it fully. I hope you love it as much as I do. I''m also a princess-nut, though!

I second the star-set suggestion!
