This is the technologically inept trying to display images I got from Todd Gray. The diamond is leftover from his inventory when Nice Ice was in business. It's 1.19 E VS2. It was purchased this week by an old idiot with an asthmatic Windows 7 computer who can't manage images to save her life. But I have to say, it's a lovely Asscher, so nice that I opened the box and said, OMG it's much bigger than I anticipated. And I had measurements and equivalents, I was all prepared. The only explanation is that it sparkles so much it looks bigger. Todd was incredibly nice to work with. This diamond was cut in Antwerp by a company that's no longer in business and Todd said he couldn't find their equals in Asschers or cushions anywhere. He said, "I have one left, held with Brian Gavin. Take a look. Return if you don't love it." Well, I do love it, and I love having a high color and no excuses stone. I know the clouds will bother some but I can't see them, I just see so many colors and sparkle. I'm so pleased to have this Asscher that's inscribed Nice Ice next to the GIA number. Todd was just so nice to work with, I can't recommend him more highly.

Diamonds..., they are so hard to clean but I admit this looks exaggerated at 1000ct (the size on my screen). Still, looks to me like exterior dirt.
I'm so glad you are pleased with it! Some stones just speak to us. I find this moreso with fancy cuts. So, what are your plans for this guy?
Not my pic. Karl, it's just totally weird. I was afraid to buy it because of that image but more afraid to pass up the chance and Todd said it's beautiful and Brian Gavin said "It's a nice stone." I don't see a darned thing except under 30 x. Also, Brian said square diamonds don't photograph well, they can look dark under the table, and this was really my bigger concern. Not seeing it. This rascal just throws sparkle and spectral iight all over.
I'll let Todd know you said "howdy."
Thank you tyty333! Considering a half bezel like this from JA https://www.jamesallen.com/engageme...lf-bezel-solitaire-engagement-ring-item-83054
Of note is that JA shows this same ring with a pear and a marquise, both with the pointy ends sticking out unprotected. Who would do that?

diamondhoarder, I knew this would be on your radar at some point.
I thought it looked like tape residue in that photo but it's pretty pristine IRL. Todd Gray didn't sell ugly diamonds.
My problem is that I don't have a smartphone (no, your first thought is accurate) and I have to wait for Mr. Car Parts to take photos. And I haven't told him. He hasn't seen the diamond - that he hasn't paid for - because he's been racing a lot.
Another cloud on my cloudy VS2 is that fact that my 98 yr. old mother passed away last week and I'm trying to help clear out the house. It was a blessing, now I can remember her for the lovely, lovely woman she was who wore a cracked engagement ring for years. This ring will be mine and I want to see if my new Asscher might be a good fit. I hope so, the ring would be called Mya after her.
diamondhoarder, I am so very very sorry to learn that you lost your best friend. I know I can't imagine how painful this must be. My mother was 98, who needs more than that, but losing a young person is just tragic.
My heartfelt sympathy to you.
