I ran across this website. Lots of great reviews.

Wanted to see if anyone has ordered from them?

What was the quality of the product?

Do they pill? Do they last?

Never ordered from them but... my goodness what a wonderful selection and great prices!

If it's the same as the UK site, I was very disappointed with the quality. I went back to Brora, much more expensive but more more lovely.

VR-- I know, I'm super tempted, but having NO clue as the quality I'm apprehensive.

Rosetta:

Hmm. Off to check out Brora

Rosetta, was it just the cashmere you were disappointed in? Brora appears to only have cashmere.

Because I was interested in the British Wool at Woolovers.

What was disappointing about the quality, specifically?

Gypsy,

Did you ever order from this site? If so, what is your opinion of their quality?

I have ordered from this site.
Living in Australia it's really too hot for heavy cardies so I've only ever ordered the cotton silk mix.
And they've held up well over years of use.
I probably should confess that I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to the finer details of very high end cardigans, so praps there's something crucial I've overlooked lol.
... But, no loose buttons, no seams coming apart no discernible fading or pilling etc (does silk cotton mix ever pill??)
I take reasonable care in colour sorting my clothes in the wash but they have all been machine washed very regularly and hung to dry.

Received my order; the shape is a bit boxy but otherwise all right. Most looked to be for the older generation but a handful were more classic that I can wear to work. No loose or missing buttons, holes or anything like that. They look well constructed and are heavy. I threw the wool into the washer and hung dry and they look all right. Since I've only washed a few times, I don't know if they will pill. Although the wool is smooth to the touch, they are itchy when worn. I have sensitive skin though so as long as I wear 100% cotton underneath, I don't get itchy.

I ordered two of their British Wool Unisex sweaters.

My opinion is that they are very solid for the price. My only complaint is that the finish on the cuffs and collars is a bit-- rustic. Like high-quality home knit. But I am super picky about that stuff. The material is soft to the touch, but does itch a bit when worn, so I have to wear cotton under. That said the sweaters are OMG warm and heavy. Like TOO warm for regular Northern California winters (which is fine, because that's what I wanted) but great for super cold snaps out here (or just regular weather on the east coast).

As I mentioned before, the ones I bought are unisex, so the cut is boxy on both. Oh, and the sizing on the website is 100% accurate. I was very pleased with that.

Thank you!

If you think they are too warm for our winters, they are probably perfect for me. I am walking around in a down coat right now. I have reynaud's and I am always freezing until it is 80 degrees outside.

The price definitely seems right!

I'm sorry to hear that. Let me know what you think if you do try them!

Sorry, gypsy I didn't see your question. Yes, I was unhappy with their cashmere, brora is a lot better. I didn't buy anything else. I have to say, I thought their sizing was very generous, I'm about 2 sizes smaller here than at Brora, and pretty much every other place I shop.

I must add that I did keep one piece: a sleeveless tunic just because I loved the colour so much I exchanged it for a smaller size which fit nicely.

Hi Rosetta, great information, thanks so much!
I think their sizing is generous. What I meant was that their sizing chart measurements match their products very strictly. Not all places are that accurate with their size charts, but this place is.

:-)
