Why do so many men like big boobs?

Men vary so I'm sure some prefer smaller ones, but you'd have to be blind to not notice the preference for large ones.
Clearly smaller ones are sufficient to feed a baby so it can't be an evolutionary advantage.

So, I dont' get it.
What's the attraction?
Is there some evolutionary explanation, after all?
Is it nature or nurture?
Does the preference for larger ones hold true for all countries and throughout history?

Anyone? ...

So did the state approve it? I will be looking for it as I drive around!
 
The State has cashed my check and the plate is "no longer available" when you type it into the site, but I have yet to receive anything.

I will say that someone commented at the Vegas GTG that I didn't look that *big*. I assured that person that the girls were lashed down like patio furniture awaiting a big storm. They declined my offer to go into the bathroom and provide proof.

I was gonna order a personalized license plate that says..."9 inches", but I didn't want every lady at the stop light to roll down their window and yell..."Bull S**T" to my face... :bigsmile:

A scale DF? I think you might be a little *confused* about how cup size is determined!
 
I am not sure that in fact most men are actually looking for larger ones.

My question is why do so many woman in the US (and a few other places) believe that most men are interested in larger ones? I have been to other places in the world where such a trend is not obvious.

OK, I get the concept that a nice looking woman can attract a better mate - and I like nice looking woman (and I will even admit to being a "tit" man - some men like legs, some butts, and some tits). But to me "nice looking" is shape and condition - and the "attitude" the woman presents in how she carries herself - not just size (and there are some stunning woman with smaller tits).

Of course, there is always a small percentage of men who are attracted to the larger is better crowd. But, I do not believe that it is really a large of a group of men.

My personal opinion is that advertising has had a lot to do with it. Flashy sex sells - and large ones are easy to flash. Is advertising teaching men (and woman) that larger is better. Flashy sex is often tied to the concept that instant pleasure is more important than long term pleasure.

Love, life, and sex - even recreational sex - is much more than just large ones (or even wonderful shaped ones) - in my personal opinion.

Actually, most models nowadays are more like nipples on a ribcage, IMO. We need some curvier models!
 
If I remember my human sexuality class (which let's be honest I may not) it has to do with all of those things you mentioned. Its a sign of health and fertility. As well I think there is a smidge of Freudian stuff in there.
 
We're naturally attracted (not everyone but in general) to people who look like they can bear healthy children. It has a lot to do with fertile qualities. In some countries women with a lot of hair are desireable because it is a sign of fertility. Same with curvy figures aka "child birthing hips" and breasts which evoke a visceral "baby feeding" association. Pure biology. Most people evolve beyond those qualities naturally, but some remain. Men also tend to be more visually driven.

I find these explanations for why men like large breasts quite amusing, as, generally, they forget that big breasts were not always the preference. For example, the 20s were all about slim and boyish. Until recently, men around here were all about hips and butts, not breasts. The greek revival styles were also not kind to women with large breasts. Elizabethan England. Han China (I believe - I am writing from memory). Classical Greece. Etc, etc, etc.
 
You are actually speaking about AMERICAN men (as in men from the USA) when you generalize about men liking bigger breasts more than smaller ones. In Japan Barbie dolls are made with smaller breasts because the Japanese people find smaller breasts more attractive. In most of South America, women with smaller breasts and rounder, firmer buttocks are often considered ideal (and perhaps more fertile looking) than the big busted, slim hipped ideal woman in the US. Only if the influence of movies from the United States spreads US values about what is beautiful do other countries adopt US values of what is beautiful.

edited to add: I was typing while Lady_Disdain was. I think her points on history are also very well made!
