Looking good...

What are the Pav angles? they dont seem to have to much contrast/range between them?
50 45 37
This is one of my early designs and I could do better today.
When the new design tool comes out in the new DC im going too redo it and fix the uneven crown steps.

someday I want too have this puppy cut maybe if I ever win the lottery lol
Its a bit on the extreme!!!

To much leakage in your face..., a problem with movements!!!

See red circles....

Lets try to solve it by going:

pav1 45, pav2 38, pav3 30/29....

Lets try to solve it by going:

pav1 45, pav2 38, pav3 30/29....
anything under 34 p3 doesn''t return light and it becomes a pit.
Part of the large arrow problem is the DC crown step limitation.
Too be honest I like em because otherwise it would be low on contrast.
Once I get the youtube video figured out I will put up a DC movie of this puppy moving.
5 degree tilt back and forth and it dances more than most stones at 20 degrees.

Maybe on the virtual model..., but in reality it is NOT the case!!!

change the crown angles and that would change on the virtual model.
I could make it work with lower angles, keep in mind I designed and matched it for this combo.
Somewhere around a 100-150 hours worth of work to make it work.

You want to tell me you can play around with the lower pav angles?
Try the pav numbers I mentioned..., it should take care of the pointed arrows you see through the face up view...

You might be surprised at the outcome...

I cut many step-cuts with Pav3 (or culet break) at 30 degrees or less!!! I never get a pit! (It is close for comfort sometimes...)

What I was saying is that the crown on that design is designed too work with the selected pavilion angles.
I could change the crown angles too work with a different set of pavilion angles in a new design.
My power is flickering again so im off the puter for a while.

Dont!!! Try changing the the pav angles only..., make them shallower an see how it turns out...

We shall continue tomorrow,

Storm send me a full .dmc, or better still design it in the new version of DiamCalc3 cut designer so I have full control of each angle and i will do some DC3Pro optimization for you (like what AGS do, but on steroids)

A little but not enough, I got playing with the cut designer instead.

This is one I like second best too my orginal design, I think its lacking in contrast but it did fill in the arrows.
depth is down too 71.1 wow.

It looks good..., the problem will surface when tilting...,

How about making the crown steps a bit thinner at the same time enlarging the table to around 40+/-?

That''s the problem with asschers you can optimise the life right out of them....

The C1 being slightly larger I cant fix without the cut designer and I havent figured it out yet.
