Me too. I don''t get it here either. I have one neighbor down the street, but she is another story. She is the rudest person I have ever met. She loves to tell me, how Rick and I are "too close", if you can imagine that. I stay away from her.

It is one of the places S is looking at for grad school and I''d love to know a bit more about what it''s like living there. It looks gorgeous, but I''ve never had the good fortune of visiting! I did, however, look up the weather forecast the other day...

It''s about zero degrees here, so it seemed like a VERY welcome change!

I love San Diego. I always have... Its expensive (utilities, rent, water, etc..) but there are a zillion things to do and see and while it *seems* chilly to me now, its probably shorts weather here for the rest of the country.

The prices are still dropping here, thankfully.. (for me soon!)... Where are you looking to finish grad school?

Thank you so much! It would be lovely to have a lot of things to do and see. We live in a very rural, very cold part of the country [Western MA], and it''s boooooring. I have not applied to grad school yet, but I will in the fall. S is applying to schools all over CA, and one of the schools she is looking at is a master''s program at San Diego State. It''s not her first choice but we''re both rather in love with the idea of living someplace so beautiful and warm! That said we really have no idea what it''s like, so it''s great to hear from a seasoned pro!
