Who wants to see my haul from today?

This is lovely @stracci2000! Great find!

Its so pretty and wearable!
I'm wondering about Helen...
I'm really surprised that the gold plating hasn't worn off after all this time.
I guess it hadn't been worn much.

I found this sweet gold filled charm bracelet in the thrift store, $1.00.
How could I leave it there?
Forstner Chain Corporation was founded in 1920, so we can estimate age to be about 100 years old.

a bit sad it left it's family

lucky for it, its finally found its wee girl now

Ooo, I have a good one!! I won this "vintage gold filled pendant" on ebay for $44. It's actually a Georgian sentimental or memorial piece from the late 18th century (c. 1780-1800). I've been wearing it on my endlessly useful necklace of itty-bitty fw pearls. I'm making it its own thread; details there.

Excited about this hefty antique 44g double curb bracelet I got yesterday and wanted to share. Fits like it was made for me. Even though I got it at melt, she basically cleared out my jewelry savings account lol - so please admire cause only this crew would understand and appreciate it. IMG_6391.jpeg

Absolutely gorgeous and I'm not seeing the gold prices coming down anytime soon, so you did well

Oh please tell us more hahaha you know these days gold jewellery is the symbol of luxury.

The other day I went to try on a Belcher necklace and everything was silver infused plated gold $1800 AUD / $1200 USD or the 9K gold version was $6000 AUD / $4000 USD for <30g. It's crazy! Lucky for us we know better haha.

I bought something small the other day...

It was sold as 9K gold.. Didn't mention anything about the stones and given the price, it's probably cz lol.

Initially I thought it was a leaf but was told by chatgpt that it's actually a quill feather.

It is pretty no matter what it is made of, and it looks well made, and nicely finished. Is it a lapel pin? A hair accessory? Or even a pendant?

I love this, it's so beautiful and delicate and would make a great hair pin, pendant, or broach! nice find!

It's actually a pendant. It already has a bale at the end.

@Calliecake
I told the saleslady that if I didn't buy it, I would regret it later! I know myself ....

@lala646 I'm always excited to show my finds, too!
The good treasures are few and far between these days! And I don't go out hunting jewelry as much as I used to.

I found this in an antique mall today.
A Victorian garnet conversion ring with collet setting. I suspect it was once an earring component.
Mounted in silver.

i wonder if it ha s a twin out there somehwere ?

I have a dilemma. Do I love @stracci2000 or do I hate her because of all her incredible finds? :lol-2: JK- I'm in awe of you and your jewelry hunting prowess! But every post is like, "Damn! She found another one?!"

Please keep it up, though. I'm living vicariously through you. :kiss2:

It's just that I love the thrill of it the hunt.
And when the seller prices it way too low because they don't know what it is....extra sweet!

Probably! Who knows? I never see this type of Victorian garnet jewelry around here, so I snapped it up.
i just thought of my cherry amber bakealite that the last owner butchered by splitting up and making into ugly pieces, to sell to recover costs i reacon
but your one is a beautiful transformation and cannot be compaired

saddly (for me) it reminds me of a ring i sold for scrap
it is very similar
i had a bill that needed to be paid and it had quite a lot of gold in it
and i dont wear red and it needed to be resized up

enjoy your one

Holy crap. I was stunned by the gold prices of a super thin James Avery charm bracelet the other day. I can't imagine the value of your bracelet. I've never actually seen a chain so thick. The design of it is unique and really shines. I like how it's a huge (literally) statement piece but also isn't in your face either.
