So I have this gold pendant with an amethyst. When I dug it out of the box of jewelery I inherited it was so tarnished neither I nor a jeweler saw the stamp. After a bit of cleaning its shining much brighter. Its has an odd stamp, which to me looks like 'AM.DBL' and a circle to the right with either a number or a letter over a T '?/T' who what when where worth ? Is it real? Google gives me nothing. Any help is appreciated

If it doesn’t have a gold mark it is probably just gold plated. A pawnbroker normally has a machine (like a gel pen) where they can confirm gold content or not. A Presidium gem tester can also tell you if the gem is glass.
If it were gold with an amethyst it’s value would be based on gold weight with a bit extra for the amethyst, maybe $150 - $200. If gold plated with a glass gem, maybe $10.
The T/T is possibly a brand/ makers mark, I’m not familiar with that though.
The styling looks to me as 1960s, irrespective it’s a lovely pendant.

Yes to everything Bron said, though my first reaction was 1970’s.

I doubt the amethyst is a doublet - amethyst doesn’t seem to be rare enough to warrant hat type of treatment.

Thank you! I am positive they're one and the same. I have no idea how my mother came by so many different pieces from different places. I'm having so much fun. Thx for the input.
