Glitterata!

I like everyone but i refuse to do shout outs because it just brings me back to high school weblogs when people would have a person of the day every day and it was never me. It was like a popularity contest almost, just invokes some bad feelings.

no no, smurf! i dont think this is a ''who do you like best on PS'' kinda thing.

it''s more a ''who are you most like/who do you have most in common with'' sorta thread. for me, there''s a difference.

gees! if it was ''who on PS do you like the most?'', we''d be here all DAY!

(for example, you and i probably have not one thing in common, smurf, but i like you plenty, and i''m glad you''re here! so there! that''s a shout out to YOU!

Oh, FINE! If I must, I must! I think the two posters I tend to always agree with are Thing2of2 and Haven. There are times when I literally would be following Thing2 and ditto-ing her posts because they would be spot-on! Others that I generally always tend to agree with, especially in scientific threads: ksinger, icekid, elrohwen and Neatfreak.
Aww, thanks! Especially because I know far less about all of those medical subjects than the rest of you

aw ok i see
thanks whitby

in that case i''d probably choose dreamgirl

Okay, I admit it. We got off to a rocky start I think, but Kenny is my PS soulmate. I basically agree with every opinion he has. So there. It''s out.

I don''t agree with her all the time, actually,(I lean to the right, she leans to the left!) but no secret that I love Deco''s humor. It''s always fun to banter back and forth with her.
Awww. DITTO! Don''t worry ... I thought of *you* before I saw you mentioned *me* ... so we''re ''even''.

And THANKS SO MUCH to Charbie & Lilykat for the sweet shout-outs!

There''s so much collective wisdom & wit around here - I''d be here for hours naming folks. Suffice to say my neck hurts from all the vigorous nodding I do. (Of course the occasional knocking my head against the screen might contribute to that as well

Ha! Such a warm fuzzies in my heart today!

Thanks also upgradable and Janine, sweet of you to say.

I think the entire PS community is my soulmate, hee. I mean, 5+ years here and I haven''t been tempted to stray...that must mean something, right??

Ha, right back at you, kama! I probably agree with you approximately 110% of the time! I have several other PSers who I agree with a ton, but you seem to take the words out of my brain!

Lilyfoot, you are totally my soulmate. I''ve given up responding to threads that you''ve already replied to, for fear you might think I''m your stalker
9.gif

I also admire Haven for her good manners and class, and DecoDelighted for her impressive ability to give it to you straight without crossing the line into rudeness. I don''t think I''ve ever disagreed with their posts.
That''s so kind of you to say, LilyKat. This reminds me of an article I once read about Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy. It discussed how people often think he''s extremely intelligent, but that perception is just the result of his hosting a game show that asks trivia questions, and not at all because he truly is intelligent. I imagine this is the case with me here on PS--I tend to post in all of the etiquette threads because I have so many reference books, that perhaps everyone''s perception is formed because of that tendency of mine. I will try to live up to your very lovely perception of me, though!

Mmm, I know .. I don''t even have to read what you wrote, I can just ditto it, lol!
And I totally agree with the orange-highlighted part.
You ladies are just being so sweet. Thank you.
I came into this thread today because I''m feeling a bit down, so I wanted to read the lovefest that I imagined was going on in here. I definitely didn''t expect to see my name in any of the posts.
Thank you, lilyfoot. (I think it''s so cute that you are both "Lilies" and you''re PS soulmates.)

I admire those who put their opinions out there honestly, whether I agree with their reasoning or not, so I always enjoy posts from Freke, Haven, Thing2, Hudson_Hawk, PurrfectPear, Meresal, Gypsy, etc. And I have to say it--I adore Miracles ridiculously. Few posters make me laugh as much as she does! Honestly, I only have maybe 2 PSers that rub me the wrong way, and considering that I usually dislike people until they change my mind, that''s saying a lot about the wonderful people on PS!
Thanks, doodle!

I''m with you on the Miracles adoration, as well. Miracles RULES!

I don''t know about ''soulmates'' but I enjoy reading Kaleigh, Whitby, and Freke''s posts. I''ve noticed that Haven and I seem to have similar husbands so I often find myself nodding to her posts about that... There are so many others I can''t really name them all.

Ah, yes--our utterly rational husbands! Gotta love ''em!

I don''t think I have a soul mate on here (at least not yet).

There are so many super nice posters on PS whose posts I always thoroughly enjoy reading; I guess I particularly respect Haven''s POV and I have noticed CDNinNYC and I have some similarities in terms of jewelry and wedding styles and a love of U2 and the Vitamin String Quartet, and I tend to agree with her opinions as well.
Thank you, MsC. I find myself nodding along with your posts quite often, as well.

I agree, kama. It''s funny, because I thought of you and Thing among other posters, when I first read this thread. Great minds, right? Or is it like minds?

This was a really fun thread to read--I love all the lovin' going on in here.

There are so many posters that I follow closely, but not always because I find myself agreeing with everything they say. A lot of the time I just really appreciate the way they say things, or the very different perspective they bring to the discussion.

I find myself ditto-ing a lot of people, so many people come to mind when I think of who I ditto. Of the people I haven't already discussed in my last few posts, I often find myself nodding enthusiastically when I read posts from ksinger, swimmer, AGBF, elro, and Hudson Hawk. I don't always type out a "ditto" because then I'd just look like a stalker, really. There are so many others, too, that I'm feeling like I shouldn't mention anyone for fear of failing to mention someone else.

As far as soulmates go, I've often felt a strong connection to Elmorton and Holly. It's funny, because with El I agree with almost everything she says, and I think we share a lot of passions in life, too, as well as geographical location and age, those sorts of things.

With Holly, it's less about commonality (although we do share things in common) and more of a recognition that *I think* we would just get along so well IRL, and ours would be one of those friendship where you have a natural, lifelong conversation that spans all the years we know each other, and every topic under the sun, whether we agree with each other or not.

Now I really sound like a stalker. I'm not Holly, I promise!

I should also mention that I feel AGBF and I share a love of the English language, and I always feel a kinship with people who share that particular passion with me.

ETA: I knew I shouldn't mention names, because I'm already regretting not adding elledizzy to the mix. I love her posts, and I always make sure to read them. And she once said she'd have set me up with her brother if I wasn't already married, and that was so sweet to say because I know how protective *I* am as a sister, so I was very flattered by that.
1.gif

ETA2: NEATFREAK! I ditto Neatfreak all the time. I actually stopped ditto-ing her for a while because I felt like I was just following her posts around and writing "ditto" after them. I love everything she has to say, and her wedding pictures are still what I think of when I think of pure joy on one's wedding day.

Thank you, Charbie and Gemgirl!

Oh thank you Haven! Your nod was actually quite unexpected so you made me feel warm and fuzzy

I kind of agree with you Whitby. I didn''t think it was a "who do you love the most" kind of thread. If it was, I''d have "Losty" right up there in pole position, closely followed by your dear self.

Losty, the only reason I didn''t name you is that soul mates are about empathy and things in common. I can''t begin to imagine the kind of pain you go through I can only be in awe of your fortitude and bravery.

And besides that, I''m not big on blue! But maybe the love of mangles would cancel that out.

OK, scratch what I just said because any two people who share such an obscure love (vintage mangle irons), just have to be soul mates don''t they?

Add Losty to my list!!!!

Oh, such LOVE is in the air! To counteract, I feel the need to start a thread titled, "Who is your PS Stalemate?" That wonderful person you just CAN''T see eye to eye with?

But, of course that thread would be deleted pretty quickly.

Carry on, lovers!
