Seeing color is totally dependent on lighting, positioning of the stone, and knowing where to take the photo. Soemtimes a stone is reflecting the colors you have on. In natural daylight outside, stones should look white. I've been able to get some colors by having light behind the stone. I really can't explain it and it is not something I really try to do. My avatar picture shows some colors, but 99% of the time, that is not how diamonds look! So don't let unrealistic ideas cause doubt about your stone!
