I recently had "speed bumps/dots(whatever you call them)" put on my new WhiteFlash sleek line pave by a local jeweler. WhiteFlash had told me it would not void the warranty to do this as long as I was not changing the integrity of the ring. When I got the ring back everything looked good, after it was worn for just half a day half of the ring turned gray/gold.
What would cause this, is it from the heat from the process, or would they have had to rhodium plate the ring after the 18k white gold "dots" were added and it didn''t take correctly?
Anyway it seems that rhodium platting again is the fix, will I have to worry about having to do this more often now since adding the dots? I plan to have the same Jeweler that did the work re-plate it.
Thanks
