Does anyone have this ring? Does the ring or band of the ring have some flash to it when in the sunlight or other light or does it resemble a solitaire band with engraving? If you do have it and you could post a pic or two that would be outstanding!!!!

I''m not 100% sure on this, but I BELIEVE that Cinnamon''s new micropave ring is the WF legato. Here is her thread with pictures:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-ring-micro-pave-band-with-831-aca-stone.61478/

I do have a very similar setting however (the ritani micropave, see my avatar) and boy does it sparkle when the sun or candlelight hits it right. It def. doesn''t look like just engraving most of the time and you certainly get some sparkle or shimmer out of it in most light situations.

Hope that helps!

thanks Neatfreak for your help...My mind is made up... after seeing those pics I am going with the Legato setting

for my princess cut diamond

I think often micropave looks more like "shimmer" rather than "sparkle." It definitely looks like diamonds though and not engraving!

haha - i''m so glad you posted this question. i couldn''t believe my eyes when i read it.....it''s exactly the question i was thinking of posting myself!! i too have a princess cut and am looking to change my setting. the past few days i have been smitten with the legato pave and have been hunting for postings of it hoping to determine its sparkle factor. will you be going with the matching band from WF?

more than likely rainydaze I will be going with the matching band....I e-mailed Whiteflash to see what kind of extra cost I would be facing given the ring size I need is a 8.5 but I have not heard anything back yet.

...Sure I will hear something soon....I saw the pictures from the thread that neat freak posted and I knew when I saw it that it was the one
She saw it on the internet and really likes the unique head and how thin the band is. She just doesn't know that I am actually hunting an engagement ring to go with the diamond I bought for her (which she also knows nothing about)....Should be a nice surprise!!!!

I agree - shimmer with a bit of sparkle is what to expect. I waffled a lot after getting it because I realized it would be difficult to find a band to go with it. It sits flush on the finger with a low head. Turns out, that''s what looks best on my small hand. I can say that I feel it is best married with the matching band that WF makes for it. I don''t have the matching band yet, but hope to get it this summer. The Ritani band you will find on here is probably more sparkle, but a different type of pave. Here is a few more pictures to help you get an idea. (and let me show it off)!

It did a *little* bit the first day or so. Now I don''t notice it at all. But, prior to this ring, keep in mind that I was wearing a 1.5 tcw channel set band with a large channel, so I was used to the type of ring that a lot of people think is uncomfortable to wear. It is a different sensation, but I don''t mind it all.

Mine doesn''t at ALL (Ritani endless love). But then again, my pave is much much more delicate and as Cinnamon mentioned, a different look from the WF band. But mine is so comfy I don''t even notice it...for example, I run a cotton swab dipped in alcohol along the diamonds every morning and no cotton bits ever get stuck at all, which shows how smooth it is.

cinnamon and neatfreak, just curious, how is the Legato Micro Pave different from the Ritani Endless Love pave? You both mentioned that it''s a different type of pave.

Just looks different to me! Mine is micropave and the beads are teensy compared to the diamonds. The WF one looks like it has much bigger beads of metal in between the diamonds. I don''t know if they are "formally" different types of pave, but mine is just a much more delicate look than the WF one.

I just viewed pictures of the Ritani band, and I guess I''ll just need to defer to others to help answer your question. The beads in my pictures look large because I''m using digital macro zoom on a really high resolution Canon SD550 powershot camera so in those photos you are getting a view I don''t even see with my eyes because I can''t focus in on it to that degree. When I sit here looking at the ring, what I ''see'' is sparkle/shimmer/engraving type effect. There is a tiny shiny border around both sides of this, but when you are looking at it, it just all blends together. I don''t see the beads, it just all blends together to make the effect of a shiny little rope-y look.

neatfreak says hers is smooth. I would say mine has texture, so maybe that is the main difference of these two rings - if the pave on these two rings is more the same than other pave styles. You could check to see what the tcw is on each of the rings you are considering and that will tell you the approximate size difference in the melee. There is a very small 5mm or so area in the back that is smooth on mine. So the melee is not 100% around.

I don''t even know how much the Ritani costs, but I can tell you why I went with WF''s micro pave legato setting. I like the head on it. It is a swoopy little basket that cradles the diamond and is very delicate. It sets low, which I like. AND, I wanted to do one stop shopping at WF. For me, I was most comfortable going with diamond and setting from them, knowing that if I received it and didn''t like the diamond or the setting, I could return it within their return policy window and not be stuck.

I''m sorry I can''t answer your question more. If you go to any jewelers in your area, you''ll see what I mean about different pave styles.

Sorry I am so late to your thread I have been sick stupid tonssils needed to come out yuk! I don''t have the micropave on my band but I have the lagato head with the full eternity as the band for my princess in my e-ring all from WF. I highly, highly recommend the legato it is very yummy I get compliments on it all the time holds the stone beautifully looks perfect and the eternity band is similar in the look to the micropave just bigger stones I believe and less delicate but I considered the micropave when I was shopping it is really lovely. I haven''t taken any of my own pics of my e-ring since I got engaged (bad camera) but if you look under my profile you should see the WF pics of my e-ring that the admin was nice enough to post for me in SMTR. I am bad at posting pics on here I''m a rookie.
Good luck I hope that helps and pls post pics if you can

oh that''s wonderful....i''m a big fan of the surprise proposal myself! best of luck to you!

it''s such a beautiful set, and i''m sure she''s going to be thrilled with it! i love the detail around the head, it adds a little feminine flair to the setting but still allows you to see much of the diamond from the side...sheer perfection. and the thin bands, oowee, i love that you get the classic solitaire look but with a little something extra.
