I would not be surprised if WF and others gving discount because from what I read, demand is down, lab grown diamonds prices have gone down. People are taking a good hard look at lab grown vs. mined diamond pricing.
Any discount I thought that there might be a PS discount.

I would expect this to be the case but I think that for the bride or groom who has always dreamed of a diamond ring, the lab will not do. It comes too easy. I think there are several well to do folks out there who still want the real deal and they are oblivious to the market trends. Same people who opt for Tiffany or Harry Winston or any luxury brand.
According to a recent WSJ article to my surprise lab grown is getting lots of attention and sales. If what you said is true, then why does WF and BGD offer lab grown? Perhaps they see the trend and they do not want to lose a sale. There will always be those people who want a mined diamond. If we do a little math, if I buy a lab grown vs. mined stone, I can either save a lot of money or the flip side, for the same price as a mined stone, I can buy a bigger rock.
I said for some—not for the masses. Some. Will. Opt. For. Natural. Didn’t negate the popularity of lab grown just saying that I don’t think vendors are gonna slash the prices of naturals at the rate that lab growns are being slashed.
4 years ago, some people were paying thousands more for lab grown than now. The lab grown market keeps dropping.
I like your use of periods in your above post. Is that shouting or trying to emphasize a point? Have not seen that before.
Slash price, I just don’t know what diamond vendors do with current inventory they paid for. You can be sure they are buying at lower prices for new inventory. I read that vendors are stocking less inventory, seems to make sense to tie up money in unsold inventory. Some other facts (facts are facts): Chinese market is way off. Younger people( in general) care less about mined vs. lab grown. The institution of marriage is down compared to previous years. Some, not all are looking at other center stones besides diamonds.
Wasn’t shouting. My way of spelling it out for you since you overgeneralized my first comment. Was slowing down the pace for you.
Maybe @Texas Leaguer can chime in. Why speculate when he can tell us.
