Is it just me or did the prices drop on Whiteflash? I could have sworn I was looking just a few days ago and they were comparable to BGD and Infinity pricing? Can anyone confirm this? This is awesome if so! :appl:

No, WhiteFlash's prices have been lower than Infinity for as long as I can remember. And BG's prices have been higher for awhile. I can't say if they have dropped recently or not, but they've been lower than the two you mentioned for months (at least in larger stones above a carat).

Hmmmm.....cuz I was just on all 3 of their sites comparing the same 1.25 C GSI1 super ideals and they were all within a few hundred of each other. Today its more like $1000 or more. Oh well. I may have missed something. This is awesome! I plan on getting one soon and taking Wink up on his SITBI deal and pick my favorite.

From what I gather, the BGD and Whiteflash will be very similar. I know BG left to start his own line. Can anyone comment on the differences? Or will they be very similar to the untrained eye?

Thanks!

EDIT: Any idea how they keep their prices down? I am one of those people who believes you get what you pay for in most cases, but a deal is a deal!

I'll double check but the specs of stones I did searches on for people looking for stones usually showed WF the lowest of the three. But it is possible that Infinity or BG have dropped their prices.

When you are comparing AGS Ideal cut diamonds, you are comparing apples to apples regardless of vendor. I'd obviously go for the lowest price.

let me know if/when they have a 35% off sale.. :wink2:

WF 1.58 H VS1 ACA $19,286

BG 1.52 H VS1 $21,683

Infinity 1.65 H VS1 $23,100

Sorry I couldn't find stones the same weight, but I think this confirms my thoughts.

Wow, that's interesting!

When I was shopping for stones around .40 to .50 carat, it seemed like BGD was cheaper and had more inventory, but for larger stones, it definitely looks like WF is the best bet.

Thanks for checking on that! Seems like those are among the favorite brands on here as well (GOG as well).

What is the comparable brand at GOG? Do I just search their Super Ideal CUts or do they have a "brand name"?

I'm getting excited! This is kinda fun :twirl:

Okay, you have me curious now!

WF .405 H VS2 $1102

BG .403 H VS2 $1025

WF .505 G VS2 $2025

BG .51 G VS2 $1992

WF .708 G VS2 $3890

BG .710 G VS2 $4138

So from just a few samples, it looks like BG has a slight edge on the stones at .5 and under, but then WF starts to be less above the .5 range and is considerably less on some of the larger stones.

haha, yes, it is kinda fun! Good Old Gold does have great stones, too. Theirs will be called superior and some designated hearts and arrows. I will check theirs and see if any fit into these categories.

They did not have a 1.5+ H VS1, closest I could find was 1.68 H VS2 at $18,995., and they had a .71 G VS1 at $4491. which is about right for the higher clarity.
