Which would you choose?

I would choose the first - the .59 because of the ASET and the megascope and the inclusion (if eye clean at whatever distance YOU are comfortable with) doesn't bother me.

But... that's me... and yet the lure of the .67 is also pretty sweet and at least the 9 oclock inclusion could be covered by a prong.

I'd go .59 --- what are you leaning towards?

:) I was thinking to go with the 0.67 but because it still looks good and it's a little more big. But the 0.59 is so tempting. i will upgrade it in the future, that's the reason why i'm thinking twice.

Out of the two you posted, I'd go with the 0.59ct... but though several hundred dollars more, honestly I much prefer this 0.60ct J-VS1 with Strong Blue fluor http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/9103/

Have you seen either stone? or do they already have a video out that they could link for you - comparing the two and you could decide? I hear that they are wonderful to deal w at GOG and perhaps a long email or chat on the phone would help guide you one way or another. Overall, $200 isn't enough in my mind to chose one over the other... Its what appeals to you the most.

I think if you are planning on upgrading, what will the NEXT stone be? How much larger would the diamond and the budget be next time? Is it better to select one over the other now? ie - .59 now and then double the size to over a carat, later???
What are you comfortable with doing?

YEAH!! I'd go with the one MaryMM just posted! that's beautiful! I think GOG is closed Sunday/Monday... but worth a call or a visit if you are local enough to get there to view personally.

Thanks for your help!. I live in Texas so it's difficult for me to go there. The 0.60 it's beautiful but know i don't have that money and because i'm planning to upgrade in the future (maybe in one year) doesn't make me want to pay a little more for the same size. I think i will going to choose the 0.59.
I will love to upgrade it with 1.00 or a little more.
My engagement ring is from kay so it's sad that i didn't know anything about diamonds or pricescope before. cause i choose my ring so now i'm trying to start choosing the right one.

That sounds like you have made a good decision for you and your situation. Email or call and talk to GOG.

being in Texas, BGD is in Houston but the don't have the August vintage line. Did you browse their site as well? Perhaps a bit pricier but worth looking at. Check out in house diamonds. Www.briangavindiamonds.com

I like it!, do you like more hearts and arrow than august vintage, what are your thoughts?
One of the reasons that make me want to buy from gog, is that they have beautiful diamonds and they're so professional. I love how much they know about diamonds.
Thanks again, for your help! :)

I think that you would be very happy with Brian Gaving too. He is a very popular PS vendor and I've only heard good things about him. GOG is very popular too though. The two diamonds are very different and will perform different, so I think that personal preference will decide this one. The AVR is more antique looking and the HA is much more traditional. Which do you think you prefer? Can't wait to hear what you decide! =)

Out of the 4 diamonds posted, my first choice (for your budget and situation) would be the .59 AVR, but as Christina mentioned, the AVR and the Brian Gavin diamond will perform very differently. Do you want more of an antique look (chunky flashes of color) or modern? How do you plan to set the diamond you get?

Def as Christina says, Brian Gavin is no shrinking violet in the diamond world!! ;))

Do you feel one way or another when you look at the different options - like, one makes you go "AH HA!" and another makes you think..."well, it's pretty"? Then ditch the 'its pretty' one because you should be in love with your diamond. What diamond did you dream about last night when you were falling asleep? That's the kicker for me - the item that enters my subconscious is the one I am usually the most drawn to! :twirl:

You have different looks and I'm sorry I threw a wrench in the plan with the BGD H&A, but it was just to show you what comps are out there -- maybe you'll like it!

I still think giving both a call - chat with them directly, get a feel for which vendor you like, which stone you like, what other photos they can send you. I've bought thru BGD twice and have had AWESOME experiences. I've only read Rhino's posts and watched the GOG videos but I'd also totally trust him/them as well.... Sadly, that's a lot of words and no help (oops! )

Hi! everyone i never replied back :/ i forgot lol. I ended buying from Brian Gavin (best company ever) they really help me from the first time a contacted them, they also gave me a 3 percent for being a pricescope member. My diamond is a 0.837 K vs2 hearts and arrows
AGS 000, my setting is a solitaire yellow gold. I'm in love with it!.

I'm so happy that i stayed away from buying again in other companies just because they're close. My husband is really happy that he bought and AGS000 he's very proud of himself. Like i said is a K color but the price was amazing, we gave them a down payment in order to separate and they did it without problem, when my husband call to buy it they said that there was a long list of people waiting to see if we buy it or not :) so we feel very blessed how everything went.

Thanks again for the help and for telling me about Brian Gavin.

Excuse any typo errors, my English is not so good. I'm trying! :)

ooooh!!! It looks beautiful! What a gorgeous photo they sent of it - very nice! Enjoy!!

OMG the .59 - because it's brighter and whiter looking - has more personality. Sometimes u gotta go w/ the naked eye - u know?? :read:
I'm no gemologist, but would say that the difference in size is SOO minimal, probably not noticeable. Also, a brighter/whiter diamond will look bigger IMHO

What do u think of this?

Maybe with this beautiful halo u won't want an upgrade, u will have a D color white diamond and a little bling framing it and on shank - voila! :praise:

i just read your post about your ring - congrats!
