I bought a .83 carat round from Whiteflash, so I''d like to get the setting from them as well, just to simplify things. I''m also flying into the States from Korea next week, so I don''t have the luxury of sending the ring back and forth to change the setting due to my limited time in America.

Both settings look great, but is there a difference that I''m not seeing? Thanks!

When buying the stone at WF, there is a pretty big advantage to have them set the stone since they would be liable if anything happened to the stone during setting. On the other hand, past comments here have said that the Excel setting is the closest to the real Tiffany setting. Tough call, but in your situation, you probably should just go ahead and get the one from WF.

I agree with DS. WF''s Tiffany setting is very, very nice and if you are getting your stone from them I''d suggest just having them do the setting as well.

Thanks for the link.

I ran a search and found a ton of other threads asking the very same question. I think the ring at Excel Diamonds is closest, but the White Flash looks very similar as well. The pictures look great sydney, so I think you helped me decide on the ring from WF.

BTW, do you have a picture of just the side? I''d like to see the prongs more in detail.

Also, does the diamond sit low? Thanks again
