Here are settings I’m considering.
Which do you think would look best with a 2.26 asscher?
Rather, which would you eliminate?

Off the bat, I''d eliminate #3, for durability issues. It doesn''t look safe to me?? Have to go back and see the rest...

i like the offset, but your stone is so big it may look askew instead of intentional?

Does that square back thing really help?
Are they comfortable?

I like the top row, right, your asscher is pretty deep and some of the others will look too chunky.
Id have it made in titanium if it was me.

Why titanium?

Is it stronger than platinum?

titanium isn't as soft as platinum, and I think it is more durable if I remember correctly. I would go with titanium as well.

*M*

ETA: I meant to say titanium before, so I fixed it!

I deleted three of the 11.
Now there are only 8 possibilities.

Does anyone think the top-right one will look too much like a woman's ring?
Keep in mind it will have a larger square stone.

The squared-back ones look odd to me, but when you wear it you won't notice.

I''ll repeat my STRONG suggestion to at least check out what your asscher would look like in a setting with a mirrored trough under the stone (rather than your bare skin). I don''t know exactly why but on mine it''s trippy. Mine didn''t start out that way .. it was in prongs, but I had it set lower into the setting and WOW. Pictures don''t really capture it but right out of the pro cleaning: Kaliedescopic.

Settings like that - the stone still floats like your tension designs ... there''s just shiny metal underneath the stone against your finger.

Eh ... I''m a little under the weather so I''m not making sense!

about 1000x stronger.
and it works a lot better in a tension setting because its springy instead of mushy like plat.

Hi Kenny,

I would def go for the euroshank aka square back, while it might look odd at first its def very comfy and it really does help to stabilze a top heavy ring... at least it does for mine.

check out some of the designs here:
http://www.boonerings.com/

That is where Id hav it made if I was going with titanium.

To me it looks less like a women's ring than the other designs.
1st row 3rd down looks the most ladyish of the bunch to me.

I don't know how difficult it is to set an asscher in tension on an angle (guess it's not) and how far weird Kenny would go...
But i wanted a diamond set facing an owned rather then the sky for the long time. From another side a you can see a lot of pavilion, and i know Kenny wanted to be able to do so.

Anyway, here is my

"Egoist" setting.

They''re all nice Kenny, but I might choose the last one for a man''s ring. I like the proportions and it looks comfortable. I''m not sure if I like the pie-in-the-sky look for a man''s ring. That''s personal pref though. I''m sure any would look great on you!

What about coloring the metal?

Not wild about the upper right one. Do like the subtle stripey thing. Only thing I can contrib with titanium is that you are not supposed to be able to resize it, but I think it would be an extremely cool metal to use!

Decodelighted''s mirror idea is very intriguing....
I like PS Admin''s also! Get the funky angle thing going!

they''re all pretty similar but I think I like #1 and #8 the best.... #2 is my least fav followed by #3. #3 looks like the bezel part is too thin and #2 looks too feminine or something with it raised like that.

You make sense to me and I''m so glad you say this!! Since I''m having the mirrored thing done too :D There''s actually a lot of things I like about your ring as it is now :)

What''s the name of the guy who does the rings that susieQ has... trebardeaux or something - I know I''m off but someone will correct me lol Anyway - have you looked at his settings kenny?

decodlighted would you be so kind to post a link or the pics again?

I might be concerned that it is already quite blingy for a man but it is very hard to visualize things.
It would be nice to have it set in 10 different settings then pick the best.
It is so hard to visualize.
Arggg.

Thanks
I just went to the website.

Beautiful designs in their own right, but I'm looking for a much more simple and understated design.

Also, I've narrowed it down to 5.
Does anyone know how to photoshop an asscher into these?
