Keeping in mind that I like chunkier settings and have a size 7 finger to support them. Which do you like/not like and why? Here''s the first:

I like the first one.
1. It "flows" better
2. I detest invisible settings like the princess stones on #2. They have a tendency to fall out after some time and is a pain to fix.

Ditto on #1. It does just seem to "flow" better. It is chunky, but with a hint of delicate or elegance in the pave.

#1. The second design seems dated and clumsy.

Thanks all... gosh... hope my boyfriend doesnt see this post. :0 He liked the 2nd one.

In all fairness ,it does look a lot better on my finger than in the picture. The problem is that I can''t get pics or find a hand shot of the first one. I can''t find a DARN thing like it in any store either.

Ditto. The first one is much better. I also like the 4 prongs over the 6 prongs.

.

So...what wedding band would you put with #1? A small shared prong eternity?

Ohhh girls... I kind of have to giggle. My BF is pretty sensitive and would be bummed to know how many don''t like the 2nd one! I won''t tell him I promise!

I''ll just say I took a little poll and the majority felt the way I did - I''ll add it must be a "girl thing"... he''ll buy that! :)

For a band, I was thinking of an eternity band, but wasn''t sure if a shared prong, bezel (might be too much - but I love bezel eternity), possibly even a baguette/round mix. Not sure. Figured once I got the ring - it would be fun to try on bands at the B and Ms!

I like the first one better. The second one looks too blocky and choppy.

Definitely - trying on wedding bands is half the fun!

I think you''re on to something with it being a "girl thing." I am helping my friend find a setting and he keeps gravitating to clunky, angular, geometric settings.

Suchende That is too funny. BF is also a capricorn, type A in the most definite sense.... I don''t think he would know "flow" if it bit him in the butt!

I talked to my BF about x-prong settings (which I think are beautifully "flowy") vs. basket settings the other day and he said that, as a guy, he prefers the sturdy "structure" and "architecture" (his words, I believe) of the basket. Seems like that might be a similar thing going on there.
