Which of these two stones would you prefer?

I guess, what I''m really asking is, is the larger stone worth the 1K? Both are RB stones. Is there much of a visual difference size-wise for the $1K increase? Both stones are so beautiful....I dunno. I would be upgrading from a 1/2 carat.

Thanks!!

Option #2

If you can swing it, I'd get the second. In stones under a carat, that's definitely a noticable size difference. You're also paying for the better pol and sym grade, even though you might not see that. ETA, and a color grade higher.

Looks like there is a slight increase but quite little (0.3 mm) which may or may not be noticeable to the eye. Ultimately it is up to you though. If you can swing the extra $1K, then why not. Also, can you please post the crown and pavilion angles (and Idealscope pictures if you have any). This could sway my decision.

Maybe this will help. The stone on the left is a .74, the stone in the middle is a.45.

Because I am clarity-sensitive

, I would have to see both stones not only from the top but also from the sides. If both were eye-clean from all angles, then of course I''d take the larger one!!!

Hi Metro!

Nice choices ... given the info you''ve provided, I selected #2 and this is why... keep in mind that this is my reasoning or would be my reasoning if it were me purchasing the stone ...

Is the $1K diff worth it? Yep.

- the .93 is basically considered a "light" carat, which, in essence, means that visually you would be hard pressed to tell the difference b/n .93 and a full 1 carat and this makes the stone more valuable as well since the 1 ct range is highly sought after
- option # 2 is a G colored stone, which, to my color sensitive eye, does appear whiter than an H ..I would prefer to pay for higher color and go down in clarity, providing that the clarity option, as you stated, is eye clean (btw - what a steal! if you''re able to get an eye clean SI2)

- I also prefer Ex for both polish & symmetry, while I have heard that visually you aren''t supposed to be able to tell the difference b/n good or very good or excellent polish & symmetry, it''s more of a mind clean thing ... if Ex is available and I can have it ... I''m going for it.

You don''t happen to have any of the crown & pavilion angle details, do you?

** Have you seen both? If so, which one were you drawn to more and why?

I hope that reviewing my thought process if faced with the same choice is helpful to you! Please, please do let us know what you decide and show us pics!!

Option 2 - HCA score = 1.3 Excellent

With regards to the cert ... Is it an older cert? Just curious b/c maybe the vendor ran a sarin report on it and posted the new figures? I know my sarin report was minimally off from the GIA cert as well.
