Looking for an everyday timeless necklace that I can potentially layer with a dbty style necklace. I saw these two and thought they were so pretty! However, I am worried that they might be too “trendy” and might not age well. My everyday jewelry consists of a 1ct 5 station dbty bracelet, my radiant double halo e ring and half eternity wedding ring, and a tiffany victoria style marquise diamond stud earrings. I’d say I like more dainty jewelry than statement pieces as I am on the smaller side. Any other suggestions welcome as well.

The butterfly necklace is 6.5mm w and .17ctw62B0EC8F-56CA-4B13-82B5-37A1C7CAC5F3.jpeg590E6CA7-D28A-49FB-9FF9-D413242D786F.jpeg
The flower necklace is 9.5 mm and .32ctw

The heart necklace is 6.5mm and .20ctw

Both are lovely, however, if I had to choose one, I would opt for the flower myself.

DK :))

I think the butterfly is a bit more timeless vs. the flower. Have you considered a diamond circle necklace? I think that’s a super timeless option. There is very dainty one available on LT and Whiteflash has a more substantial one. I think most jewelers offer them.

And here is a heart one I just saw. 6.5mm .20ct

Thank you! The flower is also almost half the price of the butterfly, so hmmmmmmmmm....

May I change my vote please, now that you have added a heart to the mix?

Done, changed to the heart.

DK :))

I agree. both are lovely. I'd do the flower myself too- as it seems to be a tad more versatile then the butterfly.

Thank you! I just added it recently. I didn’t even notice it until the jeweler sent me a picture. Never really thought I’d like heart shaped jewelry, but I am somehow drawn to this one!

I know this is nit-picky but I dont like how the round circles that connect the chain face on the butterfly. They are not noticeable
on the flower or heart. I would probably go with the flower or heart but I would really want something that was more generic
(more timeless) like a round brilliant in a halo.

Didn’t realize that until you pointed it out, now I can’t unsee it. And yes, round brilliant in halos never go out of style!

of the 3 options and without seeing it on you. i prefer the butterfly or heart over the flower. favoring the the heart slightly more. have you taken account to facial shape when selecting a pendant??? do you have a favorite??

I like the flower the best because it seems to me less common than butterflies or hearts. However, more importantly, I think you should definitely get whichever one YOU like best. Then show pics, of course!

Never thought about considering face shape. That’s smart!!I have an oval face. Honestly, I am really torn about all 3. Cost wise, the butterfly is the most expensive, almost twice the price of the flower and the heart. I am also thinking about which one would go well/wouldn’t clash with tiffany victoria style earrings.

hhmmm, are you able to actually try them on take an image and then compare to see which one looks best on you??

Unfortunately, no. These aren’t from a local jeweler. It’s kind of deceiving too because they look so big in pictures but they’re all very dainty.

hmmm, can you get the jeweler to get a lady to put each on and send you a picture?? the picture containing the expanse of the shoulder and well as the neck up to the jawline would probably be totally helpful.

I really like the butterfly. Do like hearts though- I have a Tiffany metro heart that I almost wear everyday. Perhaps the heart is the way to go xx

They are all lovely, but I think something pictorial like these should be significant to you. Which is the most “you”? Without knowing you I can’t make a recommendation from the three, but I agree with other posters that a circle would be an elegant, timeless choice.

you know what?!?

i think i'd better change my earlier opinion. The flower measures at 9.5mm that is much larger than the other 2. i really ought to pay attention more closely instead of just skimming...

i, now, go for the flower

I really like the butterfly, except for how it's attached to the chain. I would love it if it hung in an asymmetrical manner. All the choices are pretty though, so you can't go wrong.

If you want something timeless that goes with everything, I would think that the flower or the heart would be the best option, but I personally prefer the flower. My no 1 choice however would be for a round brilliant in a halo, or a circle pendant, or anything along those lines since that is much more of a classic in my book! The WF one Kaycee posted is just gorgeous and so, so timeless and chic.

I am actually considering a round brilliant in a halo too. But I felt like shaking things up and not playing it “too safe” I suppose? Ha!
