WF diamond with simple halo. I'd choose one of their inhouse settings and upgrade to ACA melee.

One more to consider from WF. Premium Select, but gets you a bump in size and color. This will still qualify for their upgrade policy.

Do you have any diamonds in mind that jump out at you or do you think the 1.4ct is a good choice

Perfect I was starting to lean towards a larger diamond and basic halo. Thank you for the recommendation!

Ask WF to send you a video of both the 1.4 and 1.5, side-by-side, if you are thinking of the 1.5, from WF. It has a low CA and I'd want to be sure you like the look and quality of light return. The 1.4 is a sure thing.

Its scoring a 2.6 hca do you think that is too high or something I really need to see a video of. I'm having a hard time with an online ring purchase

Adding a few more to consider.

Just talk with WF directly about their two options. We use the HCA to screen diamonds, but there are plenty that are outside of the range that may be worth pursuing. Ask about obstruction, performance and fire. They are very honest!

All else being equal, WF has a more generous upgrade policy than JA and they offer ACA melee. JA is a drop-shipper and while you can certainly find nice diamonds from them, I find WF to be much more customer focused. They have all their in-house diamonds in their offices and can offer a direct comparison.

This is a bit kinder on the budget. Again, you can ask WF to examine it compared to the others. Just put on hold the three you like as they can move fast.

I would not worry about purchasing online from reputable vendors. I do it all the time!

I prefer the 1.4 but in a simple halo.

How "fancy" is your GF? Does she dress up a lot? Have to wear business clothes for work? Does she currently have/wear fancy jewelry?

I prefer the Ritiani, Whiteflash, Simon G, and Danhov halos over the elaborate tacori or veraggio. You know your GF though so pick what you
think she would be happy wearing for a long time. Another thing to consider is that most tacori and verragio set fairly high off the finger. The
general consensus here on Pricescope is that is not desirable. Wearers tend to want their rings lower so they are not getting knocked.

Settings I* like...

FYI...I'm going to show you a very popular setting that many people have had made so you know what most* people like. Again, you know your
GF so get her what she likes.
This ring belongs to sarasmiles. It is a 1.5 carat. Its a simple halo that really lets the center stone be the main attraction.
