Where are some good places to visit in the jewelry district in NYC?
I''m planning a trip up there, and will have one whole day to shop. For this trip, I''ll probably just browse, but, ultimately, I''m planning to spend around $2K for a necklace. I''d like to get a sense of what it will buy.
I''d like to go to two types of places:
1. Places that have a good selection of sort of "fancy looking" pendant/necklace and/or earring settings (with or without stones).
and
2. Places that have a good selection of colored stones. Right now, I seem to be most interested in blue stones... so, a place with some nice sapphires, spinel, or blue zircon would be good.
If it were you, where would you go?
