Hello!

I'm in the intermediate stages of ring shopping. I've seen pics and videos of the Old Mine Cut, and *think* I might like them for their big chunky facets (i.e. AVCs from GOG), but would really like to look at them in person. Anyone know where I could find them up here in Boston?

Thanks!

Years ago I did business with a firm named "Marika's". They still may be around and were great people to work with back then. They had lots of old jewelry.

Shreve, Crump & Low has a small selection of antique cuts. They have a location on Newbury and in Chestnut Hill so you may want to call first and they will move them over to one location if you're interested in a specific piece. They show a good selection on their website, but know they are all preset into settings. Try browsing through here http://ch.shrevecrumpandlow.com/lis...y_stone_type_id=32&primary_stone_type=Diamond

Shreve Crump and Low is a good place to look, but their prices are STEEP (I was just there looking at engagement rings). So if you end up liking Old Mine Cuts, I would suggest buying online.

Another place to check out is EB Horn, I just got my engagement ring there  I would definitely suggest calling them first though and asking and telling them what you're looking for. My boyfriend purchased an OEC, but they overall specialize in older cut and antique stones.
