Re: When did leggings and yoga pants replace actual pants in
I wear leggings, jeggings and yoga pants. I don't care what others think. I wear what I wear.
If I went around judging others for things I thought weren't appropriate, I'd be banned from society.
SPECIFICALLY, at airports, I am 100% sure I would be wearing leggings. In no way, no hell way, would I ever wear anything that wasn't 100% stretchy and comfy for an hours-long sitting session.
but, since we're on the topic of bashing people who wear stretchy pants.. How about a defense? Or at least reasoning?
Here's mine:
I wear leggings and jeggings bc I have trouble finding pants that fit.
I have a huge behind and hips, and a much smaller waist.
If I measured jeans by my thighs, butt, or hips, I'd wear a size 14. If I measure by my waist, I'd wear a size 8.
Yes, I have enough body issues to last me a lifetime, because standard sizing tells me I am shaped weird.
I can't find jeans that fit that don't cost less than $200, or near that with alterations.
I need my pants to have stretch because of these curves.
I agree that leggings shouldn't be see-through, like the ones Kim Kardashian is wearing in that photo.. but she might not know. I have worn my share of leggings that were too thin, without knowing, until someone pointed it out to me. I now wear 2 pairs-- one on top of another.
So I guess I'm also "trashy" to a few of you here, and maybe on the streets. Too bad I don't care about what others think, huh? Otherwise, I'd stop being so horrendous, and cover myself up in thicker materials so that you all don't have to suffer the horrible sights of me!
So forgive me if I find this whole post insulting. Because I do.
