Hello, i would like to learn your opinions about this stone which i'm considering to buy.

I would say forget a D and VS1 and get a G-I and a VS2. Not to mention you could get a much larger diamond as well. Everyone has different things that make them happy though.

Any IS or ASET images? Given that rounds are very common and easy to shop for, I'd keep looking for one that is better cut aka more sparkly.

It depends on your color sensitivity and preferences. I'd go G in color in down to possibly SI1 and look at a 1.3-1.5ct stone personally.

1.3 ct E VS2 for under $10K and is likely to be very well cut. I think they can also provide ASET and IS images.

btw how do you know that this one does not sparkle @chrono? is HCA 2.7 a bad score? i haven't seen the stone so far but i will see it on friday

It will probably sparkle, but not as much as a better-cut stone.

You can also safely consider AGS-graded stones (American Gemological Society). An AGS-ideal stone is comparable to a GIA-excellent stone for cut, and the color and clarity gradings are also considered comparable.

Cut is KING and if you have a G SI1 that is eyeclean and excellent cut with great performance you will have an icy white diamond and a brighter one than a less well cut D IF...the color and clarity has less to do with the brightness and brilliance of a diamond than newbies realize and can wrap their mind around.

You should listen to the PSr's who are experts at finding the largest BEST CUT diamond for your budget...that is what they do on this forum. You will get a larger stone at a better price within your budget. and have peace of mind with your choice.

with your budget you should not get a diamond that is less than 7mm.
