If your budget only allowed you to do these two things what would you get:

Three separate diamond bands with each band having seven round diamonds in a shared prong settings with great quality diamonds. Each stone will be 7 pointers so all three rings should total 1.5 carats.
Or

A simple solitare setting like tiffany style with around one carat diamond. Or less than a carat for an ideal cut round diamond.

I cannot decide for the life of me what I want.

Please give opinions. Kepp in mind that I like sparkies

Is this for an engagement/wedding occasion?

Are you looking for an engagement ring, a wedding ring or just a right hand ring? Is the ring for yourself? If it is for an engagement ring, have you considered what wedding ring would go with your three-ring option?

As others have noted, it sort of depends on the purpose of the ring. Personally, I would always rather have one really nice diamond than a bunch of rings with small diamonds. That would be something to look forward to in the future. But if my budget only allowed me to get one or the other, I would much prefer to get the solitaire. But, really, it very much depends on the purpose of the ring and the look you''re going for.

If it''s for an ering a solitaire hands down. You can always add diamond bands later. I''d much rather have a nice ideal cut solitaire than 3 bands, but that''s just me. HTH.

Can't know what looks best on your hand

Either would be great, I guess.

Is the 'three band' option meaning to get the look of a wide pave band, like this?

These stones are allot smaller than 7 pts each though (0.8pts each!).

Where did you find that picture? Yes like that but somthing I can take a part and where it with other rings. I have an ering, but it is small to me, it is three stone ring with a .50 in the middle and the .25 on either side and all three are a princess stone. I bought the ering because it was a good price. It is very pretty, but not as pretty as other people''s i have seen. So I will keep my ering for memory resaons, but I will like something that I can show off. I hope you understand and can help me better now thanks

If you get three rings each with 7 .07c stones, you are going to have a hard time wearing them all at once. They will likely spin or move a bit and not line up nicely. I had two channel set bands of 7 .07c stones and I had them attached with bars of gold so that they would stay put. I then wore my solitaire between them.

I would go for the nicest cut solitaire that your budget allows. You could get it set in white gold instead of platinum to save money and get a simple white gold band to wear with it, allowing yourself to put the majority of your budget into a nice stone.

If you tell us your price limit, I''m sure we can help you spend it!

... not that one.

How about using the three diamonds in a new five-stone ring? with an .8 cts center or so and then half and quarter carat sides it would be rather nice, IMO

If my memory serves, Wink (at winkjones.com) did exactly this with smaller stones earlier on.

This comes from www.DVatche.com. These rings come with sidestones in, but the style is popular and many other versions are out there.

valeria, that 5 stone ring is gorgeous!

What about making a new 3 stone ring, taking the two .25ct sides that you have and buying a larger center? You can then use the .5ct as a pendant, that way you are using all the stones from your original e-ring.

ETA -- I just read your first post again -- a 1ct center would look awesome with a .25ct on each side! That's what I would do.

My personal opinion would ALWAYS be one bigger stone (super-ideal cut, of course) vs. several smaller ones. To me, while the look of multiple small diamonds can be beautiful and very sparkly, there''s just nothing like the magical look of a perfect, big, shamelessly honkin'' diamond. I could look at mine for hours. (In fact, I have!
