Tell me something Deco, would you feel the same if the ebay seller was BGD, who you''ve bought from, if BGD sold on ebay or another similar site? (Just an example, since I know you have a BGD piece-- to lurkers NO I don''t think BGD sells on ebay or anything of the sort).

If it was a professional jeweler I was *friendly* with on a more personal basis I might give them a heads up on the result of my appraisal if it was very different than I expected from their description, but not to assuage any guilt on my part --or-- offer to pay more --or-- offer to return the piece. (The deal has been completed in my eyes.) Otherwise I''d probably only contact them if I thought they''d find out through Pricescope or elsewhere, so they wouldn''t be blindsided by the info. BGD would fall into the 2nd category.

So... as promised since the 'mystery' item is now mindclean. Mystery is over. Some of the 'facts' I posted initially are a little off, to throw you guys off the scent until I had the issue worked out.

For Christmas I got some earrings from Pearlmans. And I put them happily on my ears and just revelled in the fact that I FINALLY had some ear bling. And I was going through some personal stuff... and wasn't really paying attention to many details in my life like... melee size of earrings. Until a few weeks ago when I looked at the earrings next to my seven stone.

Pearlmans had a little mix tagging issue and my earrings are the ones in the picture from their website and they were listed on ebay, but some of the stats were a little off due to the mis-tagging. They aren't Katzo platinum .20 ctw. They are Kraiko 18K 1.00 ctw. So, if you do want them... Julian and Bill know about the mix up, and will be happy to price out the correct pair for you!

They are lovely and I am thrilled with them. And Bill and Julian did re-inventory their stuff and found another error so they are really happy for the heads up, and I am happy that I get really awesome earrings, and that my relationship with one of my favorite vendors is 'mindclean' again.
