3.24 D SI1 pear mb fluoro

or

H Si2 3.70+ AGS0 mb fluoro

Does anyone know of a way to view the results without having to vote please?

Ladies you have to spend all the money on either of the diamonds - not both. There is also no option for holidays, loan repayments , downpayments on anything or using the money for some other purpose.

I know a poll of this kind has been done before but ask if you would kindly indulge me please.

Thanks

any idea how sparkly said pair would be...hypothetically?

I didn''t vote because one the key components is missing here for me--the cut on the pear. If the pear was an EXCELLENT cut I would go that route. But you know me Sparkles, I''m a fancy lover at heart...

Lets say pear cut excellent

Dee*Jay - your not helping my hypothetical situation. You switched sides but your still rooting for the "other team".

Ditto deejay''s last sentence. RBs actually are a little too big for me (for **ME**) after the 2ct. mark... something to do with a round symbolizing traditionalism, which honkin'' diamonds don''t so much, maybe.

Anyway, I think that''s why I wouldn''t choose the RB, but that''s me, and you should buy what you like. Have you tried both shapes on your hand?

I know it will not help you but I would buy a beautiful E or F VS1 asscher....

Musey, this is hypothetical

since I already own a 3.27ct HSi2 pear. I do however love the sparkle of RBs and well cut pears are a pain in the backside to try and find.

OK, in that case I would take the excellent pear.

Hahahaha Dee*Jay. You get the wooden spoon award for throwing the cat amongst the pigeons. I do you think you are stirring me up!

Well if it''s any consolation YOU had ME up half the night with visions of *ovals* dancing in my head!

I hear ya! I saw a 4.00ct E VVS2 oval 2 days ago. Quite shallow but no bowtie and boy was it gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous....seeing Kucinta''s oval makes me want an oval.

I was thinking of you when I saw that honking yellow radiant posted recently. Now, if that was on my hand I wouldn''t be doing this hypothetical post. LOL!

Well my finger is a 5 so I think the pear or another fancy cut would look better on my hand. The RB I''v tried on look just too big on my hand when they hit the larger sizes. Could be because my fingers aren''t very long either. So you should pick whichever one looks best on you!

Well, since on the other thread about our future jewelry wishes I had put a 3 carat pear that was either D or E with MB fluorescence as one of my goals, I would vote for the pear, hands down. (Darn you, Sparkles, for stealing my dream stone!

I think she owns that one and is thinking about getting rid of it!? Maybe you could find out who the vendor is that she turns it in to? Then buy it. Ah yes it was a money no option dream list but maybe you have that kind of $. Hope so.

I voted for the round hyposthetically because I think over the long run Id be happier with a round over a pear. However, realistically I''d never wear a round over 2 cts. The only stones that I''d want over 3 cts. would be cushion, emerald, or asscher.

I voted pear because I like large fancy cuts more than large rounds.

I''d go for the pear. Too bad we don''t have hypothetical pics!!!!

Hypothetically ... I vote Pear ... however

Ditto. Except I'd go to three on a round

... I have size 10+ fingers!

Me too! But I voted for the pear because I do not want a round, especially that big.

Ditto. Over 3 cts, I''d prefer an emerald cut, or perhaps an asscher.

Would it have to be a ring? I would take the pear and put it in a beautiful pendant, as either stone at that size would look way too big on my 4.75 finger.

But of course if it was to be in a ring or no stone at all, of course i''d take a blingin ring!

One more vote for pear here.... but the RB is still in the lead in the poll...

I voted for the RB, but it might be...gasp...too big for my size 4.5 finger
6.gif
I haven't actually tried a pear, so now I'm confused
33.gif
Sparkles, I will send you my address and you may send me whichever ring you desire

Well I knew this was hypothetical for US--as, presumably, none of us are currently looking to spend $40k on a stone--but you never said it was hypothetical for you until now. Thanks for clarifying, I now understand the thread!

Its been interesting. Over 500 views with 86 votes and rb only ahead by 63%. I thought I would get a hypothetical landslide.

I''m a RB gal, so I voted for the round.

So the Rb won!

Now hows about a beautiful plain scoopy scoopy flowing 6 prong solitaire setting to with it......that sits high and a shared prong solitaire can be worn with it. No Leons as he is geographically too difficult for this hypothetical situation.

Goodness this isn''t sounding so hypothetical
37.gif

I personally wouldn''t set that stone high, it will be hard enough to keep from whackin it on stuff.....

I think a huge AGS SI2 has a better change of being eyeclean than a huge SI1 graded by "other", LOL.
