What would be a fair price for replacement of these accent diamonds?

My fiance ordered a lovely sapphire and had it set in a ring at Zales. I love the sapphire and the setting but the diamond accents they used are extremely poor. They don't match each other and some are so included that they appear black, or missing unless you get it in the light just right. I've been considering having a local jeweler replace the diamonds but I have no idea what to expect that to cost. I'll be paying for it myself because I don't want to hurt my fiance's feelings by telling him I'm not satisfied with the setting. Can anyone give me a ballpark range of what to expect to replace the diamonds with G-H color, VS2-SI1 stones? There's supposed to be 0.15ct of diamond accents but they look too small to me to weigh that much. Attached 2 pictures in different lighting so you can see what I'm talking about. Do they look as bad to everyone else as they do to me?Screenshot_2019-03-17-02-08-59~2-01.jpeg Screenshot_2019-02-06-00-01-55~2.png

Likely more than the setting is worth due to labor costs. I’m in the same boat with a setting I just picked up. My jeweler said I was better off custom making it.

That's what I was afraid of. I got a quote from Angara on a setting in the exact same style but with slightly larger diamonds. 14K white gold, 0.25ct G-H VS-SI1 diamonds made to the dimensions of my sapphire for $750. Nonrefundable once my stone is set in it. Plus the cost of having a local jeweler set my stone in the setting. I'll probably end up going that route if the company checks out. I'm still doing some research on them. Thank you for your help.

@KLC contact David Klass for a setting quote. He can do a lovely job on your reset and is usually pretty reasonably priced. Here is a sample of his work: https://www.instagram.com/p/BvAUo0iFKKY/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1osw2ibzlqpyn
That is lovely! I don't have Instagram but I'll see if I can find a website for him. Thanks for the tip! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Zales did a poor job with the diamond accents. I had a friend who told me I was being too picky. Lol

Just reset your sapphire into a new setting. I had to replace a .10 accent round in a ring oh some 20+ years ago.. and back then it was fairly close to $200.
